I just read on a recent post that Hollywood and Vine would be discontinuing breakfast and lunch. Does anyone have any information on this??? We are planning a trip in the fall and this is one of our favorite places to have breakfast when we are at MGM.
Please help if you can let me know. Say it isn't so????

Unfortunately, it is so. The character breakfast and lunch have been discontinued. I think it is still open for dinner- but no characters. The only bright spot- if there is one- is that there are rumors of a Toy Story character meal in MGM. These rumors have also been 'fueled' by CMs at wdw-dine- they've said it is in the plans. I also have a trip planned in the fall- so keep your fingers crossed!

OK - next question. Does anyone know why? Is it because tourism is down because of the war or what? When we were there last year, the place was packed for breakfast. Oh, woe is me!!





Maybe they'll do the Disney thing one day and bring it back.

I got a call from Disney Dining on Friday!!

Answering machine took it (darn).

Anyway, the CM was very nice and thanked me for my e-mail.
He said that they were overwhelmed with e-mails about Hollywood & Vine. Since then they have re-thought it and at least for now it is back without the characters. We are there 4/22 so we have a new confirmation number (I did also call).
He saw that we had a new confirmation and was happy to see we were going to be able to enjoy Hollywood & Vine.

So keep in mind that if we let Disney know what our thoughts are and things that we are displeased with, sometimes things CAN change! (remember to be nice in your e-mails !!)

Don't know if this change is just for Easter season, I am curious what everyone else has been told.

Who did you speak with that gave you that info? I just spoke to 2 separate people at WDW dining and they say it is still cancelled. We're going 4-9-03 to 4-21-03

What's the deal here? Is this just for breakfast, or for breakfast and lunch? Is it permanent or just for Easter season?

And the rumors about a Toy Story meal are only rumors - although Disney has to be aware that this would probably make them a boatload of money.

Can't remember his name.. my machine is sometimes hard to understand. He VERY clearly said they were still having lunch, just no characters. I have a new ps# for that date.

I also had called a few days before that to check on some things and asked about the cancellation of my prior ps. They told me they were taking reservations again and gave me a new reservation!! Same time same date!!

When he called me he mentioned that he saw I was able to get a new reservation.

Hope I explained it ok.

I would suggest calling again.
