So we were planning on going to H & V for the dinner buffet this November, but after reading some reviews I dont think I want to go anymore! Does anyone like it there? Is breakfast better? If you didnt like it there why? TIA.

I've had dinner there 3 or 4 times and really enjoyed it each time. I would do it again. It's not the fanciest restaurant on property but it is good food for a pretty good price.

H&V is one of two or three Disney restaurants we will not be going back to (the others are WCC and Boatwright's). The hostess was rude, the service was horrible, the restaurant itself was filthy, the food was lukewarm--when there was food. You could not pay us to go back.

This was my least favorite meal of the trip. Now, even saying that isn't that bad because we really liked most of the places we ate.. we aren't too picky.
It was packed and messy. Tables weren't cleared, buffet wasn't being replenished very quickly and the food was just mediocre.
However it was free dining time and we went around 7 o'clock. You could tell the place had just been slammed. And our server still managed a big smile and was great to talk to.
So.. I wouldn't go out of my way..but it wasn't horrible. Just not great.

We just had lunch there on August 8th. We went for the chararcter interaction which was good. Kids got up and danced etc. However the food was not the best. WE had a much better dining experience at Crystal Palace at the MK. Great character interaction and good food!

We have always had good food and good service at Mama Melrose. It is not outstanding Italian, but we have never been disappointed.

YUK and did I say YUK!!!! H & V is the worst. Would never go back, just awful. Can you tell we didn't like it???

Mama Melrose was decent, not great but decent. WAAAY better then H & V. I'd rather wait in line for 2 hrs than eat at H & V for the Fantasmic pass. We've got Brown Derby this year.
