We are down here now & we went to DHS & H&V yesterday. I was a little hesitant because of all the bad reviews I read here, but I just wanted to say that we really liked it! The food was good. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was really attentive, removed empty plates promptly, refilled drinks before we even asked, and even gave us drinks to go when we left.

The crowds at the park were light, so maybe that is why the service was good. But I just wanted to post this in case anyone else is on the fence about going.

So glad to hear that. I made reservations because I wanted the fantasmic
package and Hollywood and vine was the only one avaliable.
I'm so glad to hear you liked it!

Thanks for reporting on H & V. We've enjoyed the Playhouse Disney lunch here the past few years and have always had good food and service. :thumbsup2

Good to know... this will be our first time trying them out. I have heard such bad reports on them, that it is great to find some good ones!

Thank you for sharing! It is a must do even for us because my kids love Little Einsteins, but I have been dreading it because of all the reviews. It's nice to have some hope!

I am glad you had a good experience. :) This one is on my list not to return to.

we went to H & V in May 2008 with the Fantasmic Dining package. While it was very busy (so a bit noisy) service was excellent and the food was great. Most of the time we waited only for 1-2 people ahead of us at the food stations (dessert area a bit more crowded...course the desserts were wonderful) The hot foods were hot, the cold foods were cold, all messes were cleaned up immediately. The food service people constantly refilled all buffet service areas. The food, on average, was way, way better than your typical national-chain buffet.

Honestly, I do not know what people are expecting that they come away so displeased. We though H & V was just fine & dandy!

My family liked it too, and we are very picky eaters.

We did H & V in June. The food was good. I particularly liked it because the kids were not limited to those yucky kids meals that Disney pushes now. They could eat what everyboyd else was eating.

I thought it was OK, but certainly far from great. But I find most of DHS food offerings to be subpar with the other parks

Hi Christine, thanks for sharing your experience. I feel much better now about my reservation at H&V for the Fantasmic package. Can you tell me what time your reservation was? I still have this crazy notion that the time of the res may influence both the quality of the food and the service.

Enjoy the rest of your stay!!

TIA

Well count us in as another family that really liked H&V, it was one of the few meals that we all actually enjoyed.

Our reservation was at 4:00pm & we were seated in minutes.
