Would love any insights on how the timing works out with an 8:05 breakfast reservation on a 9:00 park opening day.

I'm wondering:
Are all PPO reservations usually let in around a certain time? How long does breakfast take? Can we make it to RnR with the RD crowd, which was my original plan?

We'll likely do single rider there anyway, which I imagine could help.

We did this breakfast in 2011 with our son who was 4 at the time and liked it pretty well. He's now 9 and says he'd like it again, and our 2-year-old son probably would. I recall being stressed about it taking a little while, and cutting it close trying to run to TSM for the old paper fast passes.

I started to think about this as a way to avoid some of the RD crowd and get in early, but is that the case? As I side bonus, I then found out you can get an early sign up for JTA, which I'd planned on skipping, but does interest my older son, but means rearranging the schedule and maybe missing Disney Jr.

Any input is much appreciated as I figure out whether to keep this reservation. Thanks!! :D

Still going back and forth on this reservation and hoping someone might be able to help with a little more info. Thanks!!!

They let everyone in at 8am with pre park opening reservations.
I would plan to be at the park gates no later then 7:45am
Seeing the characters can take time, but if you are one of the first ones seated,
you should be fine.

1) You are let into the park about 15-minutes prior to your ADR.
2) You get seated in order of your ADR and your appearance at the podium.
3) Based upon the SERVER and with for characters, you may or may not make RnRC with or after the Rope Drop crowds.

For an 8:05 ADR they will let you in at 7:45 AM...I am not sure how they seat you in regards to reservations and stuff but we usually get seated fairly quickly there, specially for that time. Our servers have been hit or miss, the 1 year we ate there our server was totally on top of stuff...the other year we ate there I couldn't find our server for like 15 minutes for a drink refill. The characters there can also be hit or miss. I have young kids so we usually end up waiting for all the characters. The 1 year we waited what seemed to be like 30 minutes just to see the last character! I swear the character missed our table, lol...Anyways last year we had an 8:05 ADR and we were out by 9:15-9:20 (because we were waiting on the last character), but if you don't care about the characters than you can probably be with the RD crowd to ride RnR when you are finished.

We just did an 8:25 ADR. We signed up to JTA before eating and made it out just a little after rope drop. It was my least favorite meal of the trip. I only did it in order to get the early JTA sign up.

So how does the early sign up work? Where do you go? Is it near H&V? We have an 8am PPO there, and yes, we're very concerned about getting oour JTA sign-up done.

Thanks all, this is super helpful. Guess we'd have to hope for the best with an efficient server and ideally Manny/Jake earlier than Sofia/Doc M. for DS2. Also, I did find news that the live singing has recently been cut, and it sounds like that might be speeding things up some (if at the expense of some fun).
Worst case, I ditch my family and hightail it over to RnR. :moped:
