Does anyone know if 11:15 is too late for adr's for breakfast? Do they still have fresh food and keep it stocked or are they getting ready for the lunch crowd?

We are planning to eat at Hollywoold & Vine for the play and dine with JoJo.

Thanks:goodvibes

We've only done the character meal at Hollywood & Vine once and did it first thing in the am...but this time 'round we're doing it at 11:15 too (maybe we'll see you there :)) We have, however, done this at other character breakfasts. Last time, we did the last breakfast seating time at Chef Mickey's and it worked out great. Before all the characters were 'sent away' before the lunch crowds, we had several CM's verify with us that we had first seen everyone. And the food was just as good as it was when we had an earlier seating.

My family prefers breakfast foods but we like to have a bigger meal closer to lunchtime so that we can go all the way to dinner - SO, we like doing last seating breakfast buffets and would highly recommend it.

I hope it's still fresh because we're also doing 11:15! We like breakfast food but aren't ever very hungry before 11:00 or 11:30. Brunch is perfect for us! :goodvibes

I'm so glad to see this post and the positive feedback :)

I am not sure if 11:15 is breakfast or lunch but I know they have JoJo at lunch also. We are going around noon and JoJo will be there. They don't have characters at dinner there.

I was told breakfast runs through 11:30 and lunch seating starts at 11:40. :goodvibes

According to the passporter, breakfast is 8-11:20 and lunch is 11:40-2:25. Kinda weird to have just a 20 minute break in between IMHO - seems that the last group of breakfasters wouldn't get much selection of breakfast food as they'd be starting to set out the lunch items:confused3 I just made a 10:25 ressie for June 3rd, which is perfect for a brunch for us:thumbsup2 DS4 is going to be so surprised :goodvibes

That is what I thought. Maybe you get some of both, breakfast and lunch?:yay:

We have never tried a breakfast before, but we are going to try this one around Oct. I have read so many say that breakfast takes up too much time and you could be in the parks. But, we are going to try it around a brunch time and see what happens.

We are also doing an 11 15 breakfast...its the last seating for breakfast. Have read that characters may have more interaction due to most have cleared out from the breakfast rush..if there is one. Not as crowded at this time...also have read that lunch items are put out and some breakast guests were able to enjoy some of the lunch offerings!!

Also, we planned this the same day MGM has morning EMH...so this will be a nice brunch like other posters had mentioned, and do a CS for dinner that night:)

Sorry to burst the bubble of the posters wishing to do a brunch, but......

I did a search on this topic a few months back, and I seem to remember several posters saying that people with breakfast reservations cannot eat off of the lunch buffet. :guilty:

They said that the restaurant is sectioned off so that there are two separate buffet lines -- one for breakfast and one for lunch. One person mentioned that their server was nice enough to let them eat some things from the lunch buffet, but technically they were not allowed to do this. People did say that the breakfast items were kept very fresh and hot even well past 11:30am.

I guess it makes sense that Disney would do something like this...since people do pay a few dollars less for breakfast than they do for lunch.

I had the same brunch idea as some of you when I originally made my 11:05am ADR at this restaurant for May. But, after reading that post, I decided to change my ADR to 11:40am so we could definitely eat the lunch food.

I tried searching for the conversation I'm refering to, but I haven't had any luck...sorry...maybe someone who has actually been there and tried the brunch idea can shed more light on this topic???

Actually, I'm happy to hear that! *I* consider brunch to be breakfast foods at lunch time. So, to hear that they keep the breakfast side of the buffet hot and well stocked is just what I was hoping for. I don't want lunch foods, if I did I would have booked lunch, LOL. :goodvibes

I totally agree. I am just glad to hear there are two different sides and the breakfast side will be hot and stocked. Sounds great.

No bubble burst here:)
It is amazing cause I read the same thing you did!
Not exactly sure what the correct definition of brunch is....but I view it as breakfast foods served at a "lunch" time....11 :15 will do it for me:)
Also, I will have issues that I probably won't be able to get a mimosa!!!! lol

So everyone...WHEN are we going???? Me...9/8...Early EMH at MGM:)

ITA!:thumbsup2

Our ADR is June 3 @ 10:25 am.

Hmmm, bummer. Might have to rethink this meal. Maybe just go back to Chef Mickeys. I have a 18mo, 5yo, and 12yo on this trip...
