I have a ressie for lunch. Handy Manny & Oso are big in our house so I thought this would be fun for DS.

I know this one gets a lot of bad reviews. Has anyone been there lately?

I've not been yet. I have ressies also for lunch on june 2ed. of the reviews i've read it seems like most of them either: don't understand buffet food, or don't understand preschool crowd can be (WILL be) loud. :confused3

The ones that have kids that are of the right age level, have good reviews. I know I am not dropping my ADR, my girlie loves oso and handy manny!

I too, have read the bad reviews. I figure that seeing my DD (4) ,who is madly in love with Manny, will be worth eating a food that's a little sub-par.

I expect it to be quite loud and the food may or may not knock our socks off, but the experience will be worth it :D

I have a secret hope that maybe they will add Jake and the neverland pirates to this meal, they probably won't but I know they are joining the disney Jr show, so I can hope :D

My DD and DGS (2-years-old), and I ate there for breakfast the first week in February. I, too, had read bad reviews, but we went because of how much DGS loves Manny. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the food was pretty good; it was standard breakfast buffet fare, but it was tasty and there was a pretty good selection. The service was good, and the character interaction was outstanding. I will never forget the look on my DGS's face when he saw Manny - that was worth the price of the meal alone.

We went for lunch last October. I was very worried b/c of reviews and I can be kind of high maintenance. We had a great lunch. Very laid back, lots of character interaction and I thought the food was good. I can not remember what I ate, but I remembered some sort of salads that were really good. I'm starting to plan this years October trip and my husband who has very high end taste buds said we should go back there (not that the food is high end, but we just had a very nice relaxing lunch there).

This was one of my favorite buffets at WDW. The character interaction was amazing. Almost to the point of me thinking "geez June, let us eat our lunches already!!" But in a good way of course.

My dh loved this chicken they had, maybe asiago chicken of some sort? They had different casserole type things, cheesy potatoes, great salads and the dessert bar was AMAZING!

I have no idea how it can get such bad reviews if that is the food that is served consistently. It was delicious.

Well, DH and I loved our lunch there in December. The food was typical buffet food and the noise level was certainly acceptable. We got a kick out of the kids having the time of their lives. I got my picture taken with June and Leo and DH got his taken with Handy Manny just to show our granddaughter. I read on another thread that Oso isn't going to be there any more. Not sure if that's true, but I read it here, so it MUST be true, right?:rolleyes1

We never have a problem with H and V. The characters are cute and the kids really like them. They have light lunch items and plenty for the kids to eat. I think it's fine!

The last time were were there was 2 years ago. We have only eaten breakfast there. To be honest most of the breakfast food sucks and is all the same. We found the staff to be no less attentive to our needs and they all had that Disney "Perkiness" about them.

We are planning a trip in August and will go back only becasue my DDs love Leo. We usually try to avoid breafasts whenever possible, since they are for the most part, the same.

We went there 6 years ago for dinner and liked it. Since we liked it then, we went back last September with our kids for the Character lunch, I would say out of our 10 day trip, this was our worst experience for food, the kids loved the characters however. The selection of food and taste wasn't that good. Additionally, the overall condition of the restaurant was substandard -- aging, dirty and overall not very clean. Needless to say, we probably won't be going back for some time....

Just there Dec. 2010 for breakfast. Went for lunch in Oct. 2009. We like this place. Lunch is not the most impressive buffet, but it's OK. I like breakfast better. The character interaction is great - dancing! Below is a link to my review and there's a video at that link too of the character interaction -- they do table greetings as all character meals.... but also dance to Dis Playhouse Music (or Jr. Disney whatever it's called now).

I like breakfast the best when it's at 8am before the park opens - when the park opens at 9am. That way you can get a few photos on the way to H and V without crowds in the background... you get a good meal to start the day.... and your meal is not interfering with morning park time (when it's least crowded).

Have Fun!
