We were just there the second week of May for the Springtime dine. We liked it but it was not our favorite of our character meals (we did a bunch). The food was better than we had expected, since I had read mixed reviews before our trip. We thought it was good but not as good as Crystal Palace or Tusker House. It was very busy and there was a wait to get in and then a line for the picture with Daisy, but once we got in and got seated it didn't feel as bad.
You get a photopass picture with the "host" of the part, for the Springtime one it is Daisy and we loved that! The character don't sign autographs, they give you a pre-printed card instead which makes the character meet feel a little more rushed. But we thought the character interaction was great otherwise! Just about everyone came around twice (I think Minnie might have missed us on the second rotation). For Springtime it was Daisy for the picture at the front and then meets with Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Minnie. The different costumes are fun and the characters were great with the kids and posed for multiple pictures with just the kids and then our whole family. I do wish they would have done one of the little parades around the restaurant with the characters or something else interactive like they do at several of the other character meals, but they didn't do anything like that there.
The service was just average, probably on the lower end of what we experienced on our trip. Our server wasn't very attentive. That day was my DS 10th birthday. It was on the reservation, I told them when we checked in and they stamped birthday celebration on our ticket that the server gets and the server never acknowledged it. I didn't say anything because we had gotten him a cake at lunch and we were heading to the Star Wars Dessert Party to celebrate but I did think that she just wasn't very attentive or friendly. In contrast, at several other places servers either saw his button or saw it on the online reservation and brought him a special dessert or decorated the dessert he ordered with a happy birthday design without us even asking.
We would likely go again if we were at the Studios for dinner as the kids really enjoyed it and the character interaction was great. And it's a great use of a credit on the dining plan.
