We are going to HS and wondered how the breakfast at H&V is--I see they have characters from Little Einsteins and OSO. I would like to know if it's better to eat there at 8:00am and then do the park--or just be to the park by rope drop. I would hate to come out of breakfast and have long lines at the rides.

We ate here at 8am on Dec 13th. It was really good. We saw Agent Oso, Leo, and June. We were done before rope drop and because we were off on a side street we did not have to stand in the crowd on the main street. They let us go right as the crowd moved on main street and I walked quickly to TSM with no problems and was able to get a fast pass within 5 min. My Dh took the girls to the other side of the rope and walked virtually by themselves over to Jedi Training to sign up. I would reccomend doing this just ask your server for your check early so that you can eat and go. We got so much done this day by doing this. You still have to utilize a touring plan and fastpasses but we did not have to wait more then 10min for anything that day.

We ate there 2 weeks ago and we actually enjoyed our breakfast. Our son had a blast. He wanted to stop at the hat to meet and greet a few characters, afterwards we went to the TSM waited 15 mins. I'm sure if we didn't stop for the characters we would not have waited.

Was Handy Manny there too? So it sounds like it's worth it to do the breakfast instead of waiting for rope drop. (plus more fun for the kids anyways). I'm assuming breakfast took about an hour--good to hear that you didn't have a long wait for TSM and I love the suggestion of my husband and son going off get in line for Jedi training. So after we park, we just walk up to the front gate and tell them we have a ADR for breakfast? (sorry, lots of questions, this is our first trip).

The characters 2 weeks ago was Handy Manny, Agent Oso, Leo and June. My son was having so much fun that we were actually finished with breakfast 40 mins and the characters came to the table 2x already but he loved the sing/dance and parade so we actually stayed a little longer. We saw the characters almost 4x.
Please ask any questions here, the disboard is a great place to get information.

Our 3 & 6 yr old would love those characters! (Not sure how excited our 9 yr old daughter would be, but she's a good sport). Do we park at the main parking for HS and walk to the front entrance and tell them we have an ADR for breakfast? Thanks again for your help!

When you get there if you have a bag you will need to go through bag check and then go to the ticket gate. Tell them you have a breakfast ADR (be prepared and bring your confirmation number) They will scan your ticket and let you in. H&V is down the main street and to your left. There will be a CM on main street directing people.

My Dd's are 6 and 9 and they both had a great time. Splitting up worked so well for us. Dd 6 got into the first show of Jedi training and they did not have to be in the TSM marathon. I get the FP's and meet them at the Jedi area. When we were there last week they also had a meet and greet with Darth Vader and a storm trooper. Then later in the afternoon we rode TSM with no wait. Make sure that whoever gets the FP brings everyones tickets and gets a FP for your whole party.

We went in October, right after Oso arrived, and loved it! Our DD was in heaven, and watching her dance and have so much fun was one of the highlights of the trip for us.

Our ADR was at 8:05, I believe. They didn't actually allow anyone through the park turnstiles until 8 a.m., then we had to go back to the restaurant, get checked in and wait to be seated for a couple minutes. The great thing about this was that the characters were greeting everyone in the lobby. Oso played peek-a-boo through the window blinds with my DD. The downside was that it was closer to 8:15 by the time we were seated, and DD is a slow eater, so with the character greetings, we weren't done by 9. However, we were wrapping up, so DH left and got Fastpasses for TSM shortly after 9 and I finished up with DD and paid the bill.

We were very happy with the food and the experience, though. We'll be doing it again on our next trip.
