Hollywood & Vine - breakfast or dinner

New to the board so please don't crucify me if the question has been asked & answered

I have 8:00am ADR for H&V for breakfast (so can hit Jedi signup straightaway) and then an ADR on another day for H&V with Fantasmic.

I'm leaning towards keeping breakfast for the DisJr characters...but we're visiting in October so the dinner would include the "seasonal dress" for Mickey & friends...so I'm kind of torn.

Advice? Opinions?

1. With the new Jedi signup protocol often in use, an 8:00 ADR puts you at a disadvantage for signup. They've actually been doing signup PPO in a line near the PPO ADR admit line, outside of rope drop.

Really? That's super frustrating as I just got the recommendation to go with the early ADR to get into the park. Looks like I got bad advice, can you expand on what the new process is?

Well, 6 months ago it was good advice.

These days, they're doing a line near the ADR admit line, and letting people in to start signup as early as 8:15, then holding them behind the ropes until rope drop. Lots of people without an ADR have been getting signed up by 8:30 or earlier.

Actually, 2 months ago it was good advice, as we went end of February, had 8am ADR. We actually signed up before we ate breakfast at the sign-up location just past H&V. We do H&V for breakfast and dinner, as we like the characters at both and enjoy the different foods at both.

We were planning on a 8 am H and v as a way of combining our 3 y/o love of Disney junior and signing our 8 year old up to Jedi training. Is this still a good idea?

Also making Adr's for breakfast, 8:30. Is 8am good time to arrive before and sign up for Jedi?
