Trying to get an 8am ADR for H&V for a party of 7. To get the 8am opening I had to enter party of 6. With a party of 7 the earliest ADR was 10am. I am hoping I can say something to the effect of ohhh.. I'm sorry there is 7 of us. I'm not sure why it says 6.... and have it be no big deal. Don't want the ADR with a 10am appointment only because theres one more person in our party. Wanting the early ADR for rope drop @ 9am.

Any thoughts on this? I have never been to H&V but I cannot imagine why this would matter too much upon arrival especially considering one of our party is barely 3 years old. Should I keep our 8am appt with party of 7 even though it says 6 or cancel it?

Thanks! :flower3:

My thought is this...you can try it, and it just may work early in the AM. Problem with your size party is for 7 they need an 8-seater table and there are not too many of those. (there is not enough room at a 6 top to just add a chair on the end...table placement is too close together so no room on the ends for more chairs.

Yes, they can push two 4-tops together, but they only allow for so many of those arrangements per reservation slot - which is why it's telling you "no" on 7 but "yes" on 6...they probably were only allowing one over-6 table in the first reservation slot. But at the earliest slot in the morning you might have a better chance of getting seated soon since they do not actually fill the entire restaurant right away (they stagger filling the tables so they don't swamp the wait staff & cooks by having all the tables seated all at once) So first thing in the AM, they will only fill maybe 1/5 of the tables anyway...meaning they would have the actual physical room and empty tables to push two 4-tops together early in the AM. Go for it.

Do want to note...even if you get seated right away these early ADRs do not guarantee you'll be at the front of the rope drop crowd...we tried that last year at H & V, and between slow-to-check-in, and late opening restaurant, with a slow, slow, slow waitress...by the time we got out it was only a couple of minute before rope drop and hundreds of people were ahead of us.

Thanks for your help! Considering it may cause us to miss rope drop we might just skip it. The biggest draw was getting in park early and Agent Oso. I'm sure its hit or miss, but as you mentioned its certainly possible to miss rope drop. I'm sure them having to fix our table for another person would just start it off slow to begin with.

I'm leaning towards skipping it. Your opinion and information helped. Thanks again! :goodvibes :thumbsup2
