We've only visited HS once and unfortunately my (adult) daughter was taken ill and so we were only there for an hour or so.

We will be returning this year - just for one day with a toddler (3) and DGS 8.

What have your little ones enjoyed at HS?

Yes, our son loved the Disney Junior show and meeting the characters. Little Mermaid and Toy Story Mania were also a hit. With an 8 year old Grandson, Star Wars is sure to be a hit as well, and there is LOTS to do in that arena.

Sunshine Ranch food court is good if the weather is nice and you want to eat outside. There's a little bit of everything to chose from. Really good hotdogs.
If you would prefer to eat inside, I like the ABC commissary. I always get the burger with the fried shrimp garnish on top.
On another note, should you decide you want to have a sit-down meal, I think Mama Melrose's is fantastic. One of the more underrated dining choices in all of WDW.

TSMM
B&TB Live
Disney Jr. Live
Meet Kylo Ren
TOT (but he was 4)
Star Tours
Star Wars Launch Bay (he is a big Star Wars fan)
Things he has never seen but will in December because I loved them
Frozen Sing Along
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular

As for QSD we always end up at Back lot express...not sure why. I actually prefer ABC commissary.

Thank you for that! My DGS is on the autism spectrum and one of his (very few) favourite foods is hot dogs!

We just came back last week and had 2 kids exactly your kids' age - 3 yo DD and almost 8yo DS.
My daughter loved the frozen sing along - actually my husband also found it hilarious! She also loved meeting the Disney Jr characters - we did a Fantasmic lunch package at Hollywood and Vine.
My son absolutely loved the Jedi training - you do have to get there early to sign up though. He also loved the storm troopers march and meeting Chewey and Kylo Ren.
All of us loved Toy Story Mania and that was one of the very few rides that both kids absolutely begged to go back on.
All of us weren't big fans of Beauty and the Beast musical because the kids had just seen the movie and we had watched it on broadway when it was still on - so that was eh.
Besides that, both kids loved the Fantasmic night show. Since we had booked a dining package for that, we got awesome seats right in the center of the arena.

Do you know if you're usually able to get a 4th fastpass for an afternoon/early evening ride of Toy story mania? I'm thinking my kids (4 & 7) will definitely want a repeat ride!

That all sounds so good! We do have to be prepared to be fluid as my DGS is on the autism spectrum- he loves the Star War movies but we aren't sure how he'll deal with the structure of the Jedi training.
We will have to do Beauty as DGD totally loves Belle!

We were able to get one at around 1 for a 6.30 window - we were there during spring break and it was CROWDED - so it is possible.

if doing the Disney Jr show do not sit too close to the stage as stage is raised and you sit on the floor. young kids can not see from the front rows

We were able to get a 4th FP for TMM in the evening (6:30) on a Tuesday in early March. We finished with our original 3 FP around 12:30. There were other times available for that night too but 6:30 worked best for us as we were taking a midday break at our resort. On Thursday of that same week, we were able to get a morning FP for 9:00 one day ahead, so hit TMM at RD, waited maybe 15 min, then used our FP to get two rides in a row. DS (4) loved it!

Our 4 year old enjoys:

Toy Story
Star Tours
Star Wars Launch Bay
Indiana Jones Stunt show
Frozen Sing Along
Meeting characters
Muppets 3D
Great Movie Ride

We haven't done the Disney Jr show with him or the Beauty and the Beast show because he (and DH and I) don't have much interest in that.

We don't generally eat QS at HS so I can't comment on that (unless grabbing a Mickey bar counts?).

Is the toddler a girl or boy? If the toddler is a girl then i think Frozen sing along is a MUST do and you could also do BATB or Little Mermaid. We prefer Little Mermaid.

The little boy would LOVE Toy Story mania and probably like the Star Wars stuff as well. He might also really like rockin' roller coaster depending on his appetite.

We also really enjoy fantasmic, but it's not an absolute must do for us.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if it's a boy or girl, all of the attractions listed on this thread are enjoyable for both sexes and I'm sure the grown ups will know, depending on the child, which would be more enjoyable.
Not to make this into a debate at all, I'm a girl (well old lady now :) ) and I love Star Wars and Toy Story and I know boys, my nephew for example, who didn't want to go to Frozen sing along and ended up enjoying it very much. It just depends on the kid

OP: just to add to the list of things. At the exit to Path of the Jedi they have x-box Infinity consoles set up for kids to play, no need to watch the movie first f you don't want to. It's a great a/c place to spend some time

My son has texture issues and he does not like Disney's hotdog buns because they aren't the same as a usual hotdog bun.
