First, I have no idea why I waited so long to get a TP subscription - what an excellent deal, especially without the FP system. Second, we have about 4.5 hours on our HS day because that is our travel day home - the wait times for everything we want to do at HS are by far the highest of any park. We can only fit in one ride each on TOT, Smuggler's Run, SDD, and TSMM in that time, according to Touring Plans. I'm trying to decide between swapping days, which we aren't keen to do because we're going to be there for the Food and Wine festival for the first time ever, so we are doing multiple days in Epcot, and HS is our least favorite park, though we haven't been there since SWGE opened. Should I just accept that HS is no longer a half day park and adjust accordingly?

tbh HS wasn’t a half day park even at the nadir of the Disney’s Hollywood Construction Pit era if you wanted to see all the shows. But it's even less of one now given that there’s nothing open there but headliner attractions for the most part, and none of the shows to eat up crowds except Frozen.

IMO your best shot at hitting your must dos is getting there an hour before official opening and hitting ToT first thing. Most people run to Galaxy’s Edge/SDD/MMRR at rope drop and the current low capacity on ToT means wait times for it never go down all day once they build. But realistically I don’t think it’s possible for multiple rides on those attractions given how quickly wait times build at HS. Shows eat a LOT of people and not having them really hurts. Hopefully by the time you go, more will have come back (CP getting reactivated is a promising sign).

Do not rely on those computer generated plans in the Covid era imo. Wait times fluctuate too much and it’s better to be flexible. The Lines app is what you keep that subscription for. It’s crowdsourced. Go to ToT, then check times on it.

Thank you so much. We LOVE TOT but could take or leave most other rides. FOTLK is a must for us every time we go to AK but the shows are less important to us in HS (RIP Fantasmic - hopefully will return one day). Again, without having ever been to SWGE, we may change our tune. I really appreciate this advice!

We were there last week. As pp said, TOT is a slow loader--go there first and if it is closed, just walk around the area until it opens (as they won't let you start a question). Wait times for TOT just build through the day but other rides go up and down.
