Two questions: we haven't done the backstage ride since they cut through it to put in the stunt arena. Is there still enough to see on that ride to make it worth going through that boring pre-show (again)?

Also, how does one figure out when the Hollywood impersonators/performers come out on the streets? We missed them last time.

Thanks.

Backlot tour is not worth riding to many people. We like to ride it to relax and get off of our feet for a while. The only thing that still happens is Catastrophe Canyon, it goes thru the wardrobe dept. and you can see some props here and there.
Now you can always ride it without doing the tank pre-show by going to where the ride unloads and telling the CM that you've done the preshow before and just want to ride the shuttle. If it's not a busy day they will allow you to ride.
As for the Citizens of Hollywood they come out at 10:30am for their cavalcade and then at 11:30, 12:30pm. Then I believe at 2pm and 3pm. They do different sets around Hollywood and Sunset Blvd

When you get to the park, pick up a Times Guide along with your park map. The times for Citizens of Hollywood and the other street performers should be listed. Not sure how all of this Frozen stuff has changed their usual schedule.

Thank you so much. This will help me plan!

Anyone know if this park gets as nuts on the weekends at Epcot and MK do?

Depends on the weekend. Check easywdw.com for descriptions of estimated crowds at whatever days you want.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Frozen
