Hi, all! I've been to all the WDW parks multiple times with both mine and my son's LONG list of food allergies/intolerances. We've learned what TS and QS locations accommodate us best and give us the most bang for our buck... Except QS at HS. In years past, we have just eaten at Sci-Fi when we had to eat at HS but it has increasingly become less accommodating. 50's was a good experience for us back in 2012 but all recent reports I've read from those in a similar situation as us sound less than appealing. We really need to eat one meal there this trip to avoid going in and out of the park so often and I prefer a QS so we can save our TS credits for places that are consistently great for us. So my question is... What is the best HS QS for simply getting lunch safely?
Just to give a reference point, our list of unsafe foods includes wheat, dairy, soy, egg, peanut, flax, tomato, garlic, almond and a few others like food dyes. We are used to burgers on lettuce or gf buns and apples or carrots etc. with enjoy life cookies as dessert. I just want to know it'll be safe and we won't leave hungry. Thanks for any tips!

I have anaphylaxis-level allergies to dairy/milk, peanuts, tree nuts, and seafood (all fish, shellfish, etc).

Our QS of choice at HS is Backlot Express. My meal of choice is a burger and fries, though IIRC I got allergy-friendly chicken fingers there once. The managers there have always been great and helped me come up with something that is safe, including making sure I have the burger toppings I want (which they take from the back fresh); they then prepare it themselves and bring it out to me (it always takes a while and invariably my sister is done her meal by the time mine arrives, but I am used to that and don't really mind it -- more important than timing is safe food!).

I have multiple allergies as well and have done well at ABC Commissary a few times. I had a bad experience at Backlot Express once so it's made me a little gun shy (quality of food not so much allergy related)

Thanks for the replies! Through perusing the menus, it seems ABC or Backlot Express are our best options and your opinions confirm that. We aren't expecting too much- just to get enough food to tie us over til our next meal. Thanks again.

ABC I believe had a steak on their menu that might be an option.

We have a laundry list of food allergies for my kids as well and generally tend to bring their food to HS when we plan on QS for DH and myself because they just haven't had options for them. I imagine the burgers can be made safely and just about all places have gluten free buns but I'm not sure if they are also egg free.

We were just at HS a couple weeks ago and could not find safe French fries. We actually had a bad experience at Studio Catering where we ordered soy/gluten/dairy free fries and found out a very long time later they couldn't make them. They told me Backlot used the same fries and they were coated with various things including an undeclared Modified Food Starch and precooked in soy oil.

We dined at 50s Prime Time last year and found safe options for my kids (Grain free, dairy, egg, soy, and many more allergies). I did contact them in advance though which was helpful. I can't say the chef I spoke to on the phone seemed all that happy about helping me, but the chef when we arrived was great.

We've also done very well at H&V and Sci Fi in the past.

If you can have soy oil, you should be able to have french fries if they are baked. As for the rest of the food backlot express is probably your best option to get a burger. The allergy chicken tenders all have garlic so that won't be an option for you. I have several of those allergies too and Bachlott express it is pretty much what I stick to for quick service in Hollywood studios.
