Hollywood Studios dining? Somewhere else entirely?

Help (please!).

Sci-Fi lunch or Prime Time dinner?

I think my girls (2 & 5) might enjoy Sci-Fi more and the kids menu there is preferable. But, I wonder if Prime Time might be a better choice overall (I've heard better food reviews and it's a better 'value' on the DDP).

Or, do we go somewhere else entirely?

We will have Park Hopper passes, but I'm thinking DHS would be best just because of our other park plans:

Day 1: DHS? Dining . . .?
Day 2: Epcot, Princess Storybook dinner at Akershus
Day 3: MK morning, DHS night, Fantasmic Package dinner at Mama Melrose's
Day 4: MK all day, dinner at 'Ohana
Day 5: AK morning, MK evening, dinner at the Crystal Palace

Any advice? TIA!!!

A lot of younger kids don't love scifi. We took our then 3yo daughter and she was less than thrilled. We've never done 50's prime time with her, but I would bet it's a better choice and they do have better food.

My kids have always enjoyed Sci-Fi (and DS has been going since he was 3, never had an issue there).

50's PTC is also good & fun, but when my kids were small, the "Cousin" serving us upset my DS about not finishing his food & eating his veggies. Although he did enjoy his Dad getting yelled at for having his elbows on the table :rotfl:

My family loves Sci-Fi - my kids have been in the age ranges of 1 - 5. We all really like it! It is a nice break especially in the summer heat because it is so dark and cool in there. And the milkshakes.....well - they're worth the trip.

I say go for Sci-Fi!

What about the character meal at Hollywood n Vine? That is where we are going to eat while we are at DHS. Just a thought?

The Play N Dine is fun, my girls *LOVED* the character interaction last year (lots of 1-on-1 time, very playful). We were underwhelmed by the buffet, so we're skipping it for this year (plus, my girls were WAY more into the characters last year - older dd loved June, while younger dd loved JoJo - this year older dd has outgrown them a little bit, and younger dd isn't as into JoJo and isn't yet super-into Little Einsteins, so we'll save it to do again another time). Good suggestion though!

Anyway, after MUCH deliberation with my parents (they just got back from Orlando today!) we decided to give the 1900 Park Fare at the GF a try . . ..

We'll see!
