Hollywood Hotels

I will be in Hollywood with my 18 year old son in late July. We have stayed at the Magic Castle Hotel in previous years, and loved it. However, their prices went up about $30.00 per night since last year.
there are some other hotels nearby ( Hollywood Celebrity Hotel and Orchid Suites) that are about $40.00 cheaper per night than Magic Castle.

Does anyone have any comments about these hotels ( positive or negative)?
