Hollywood Brown Derby

on a scale of 1-10? 7-8... last time we were there it was very good. I'm not sure I would consider it signature level though.

We went back in 2004 for DH's 50th birthday. We were not impressed. The service was terrible; the food medicore and my DH hated the grapefruit cake (and he is a big dessert lover). We usually give each place two tries in case it was an "off" night, but we have never gone back. We are on the dining plan and just don't think we want to waste two table service credits per person on it when there are so many other places that we really enjoy eating at.

We absolutely LOVE Brown Derby  It is the one restaurant that we have to go to on every trip. Some of our favorite items:
Cobb salad
Salmon with marscapone polenta :worship:
Pork Rib Chop (or tenderloin depending on season) :cloud9:
DH & DD15 love the Grapefruit Cake
I love the flourless chocolate cake and in the fall/early winter the pumpkin cheesecake with pumpkin seed brittle :worship:
DS12 swears by their kids hotdog (even told the Chef they had the best hotdog on property ) and he loves the kids treasure dessert

I've reviewed HBD in each of my trip & food reports (links in signature) :goodvibes

We've eaten here about a dozen times. It's not as good as it used to be but we still go, more due to the lack of choices at DHS rather than that it's worth it.

We think the food compares favorably with the other signatures. Our meal there in Oct. was by far our best meal of the trip.

We have been there a couple of times. The food is ok. On a 1-10 scale, I also would say around a 7. I certainly do not think it is worth 2 table service credits off of the DDP.

We love the cobb salad and the grapefruit cake... that is what they are known for... BUT I agree it is not a signature restaurant. Would we go back - maybe.................

We love the Brown Derby!:thumbsup2

This past February we ate there (also ate there last Feb.) and were still as impressed with service and food quality. Actually it was one of our favorite meals of our trip! I had the steak which was delish and my hubby had the pork tenderloin which was amazing. For dessert I had the chocolate cake thingy and hubby had the grapefruit cake. We loved both! On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 9. :goodvibes
