Hollywood Brown Derby

I NEED to go every time just for the Cobb Salad. I swear at 16 I started a salad obsession becuase of the Brown Derby. A classy place, good food, and an old hollywood atmosphere.

Dh says he loves the BD, but I've been less than impressed with the food, service, and prices. Older ds "likes" (not "loves") the noodlebow, but I find it pretty bland. The fish dishes are better at the Grand Floridian and Kona Cafes. This is a place where we never make an ADR but are always able to walk-in. That says something to me.

My family and I enjoy the Brown Derby a lot! We go every year. Our children are the ones who choose to go when we sit to make our ADR's.

It's a nice restaurant. But, it's a bit pricey and its menu is somewhat limited. The food is very good though, as is the service. Also, the atmosphere is very "Hollywood" and old-fashioned. I would suggest it to try it out, at least once to see what it's like and if you like it or not.

Agreed! (IMO most WDW menus are limited--1 chicken, 1 pasta, 1 pork, etc.--; part of the theme, keeping it simple, not being TGIF with 5 of everything.) Topic: We like the BD since we prefer nicer TS and can use our DDE discount here, like the "Hollywood" wine list, the grouper, etc. FWIW.

We enjoy eating here, especially considering the other TS options at this park. It is a bit more upscale and pricey, probably not so much fun for the kid crowds. We eat here maybe once out of every 5 trips.

We just ate there Nov. 2007, dinner.
It is a must for us on every trip. The food is delicious and the service impeccable.
We are big wine drinkers and the wines available there , first rate.:thumbsup2

I have a dining review under (2 old DINKS) about Brown Derby.:)

We LOVE this restaurant... it is a must for us. Fantastic salmon/polenta, great service, and a fabulous atmosphere.

I went to Brown Derby while on the free DDP and it was really quite nice. It was late afternoon so it wasn't busy and the place had a very relaxed and surprisingly elegant feel for a theme park eatery. We didn't particularly like the food (we didn't particularly dislike it either, it was just sort of there) and so I don't think I'd go back if I had to pay the bill :smokin:, but it was nice.

My DH and I went this past November for dinner and LOVED it !!!! The food was great and the service was wonderful. We had not been in a couple of years and wanted to try it again and we were glad we did. We both decided that this will be on our must do list. Go and enjoy !!!!:cool1: :cool1:
