Hollywood Brown Derby dining question

We are considering lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby this August, but the entree choices do not appeal to our us or kids. We really just want to experience the dining room, and DS still raves about the creme brulee he had at Lunch with an Imagineer several years ago. Would it be possible/acceptable to order just an appetizer and dessert? Their appetizer menu (Cobb salad, Blue lump crabcake) appeal to us much more that the pricey lunch entrees. Has anyone done this? We are not on a dining plan, as we stay offsite at our Marriott timeshare.

Yes. I had a cobb salad for lunch just a couple of weeks ago. Nobody cares whether you order an entree or not.

I agree with Nala, it shouldn't be a problem.

In 2009 I went there only for dessert. I wanted the grapefruit cake for my 40th, so we booked an early lunch and had just dessert. It was great. The server was one of the best. He took care of us as if we had ordered a $200 meal.

I highly recommend it.

That is our favorite lunch! We always order the Cobb salad and split it, then get a dessert. They are always very nice about it, toss the salad and devide it for us.

Same here! We were at Brown Derby for lunch in March and dinner in July. Both times, my husband, oldest son and I ordered appetizers, drinks and desserts. We ordered kids' meals for our two younger boys. We enjoy the cobb salad, but I love the tuna appetizer and the scallop appetizer. And I think the grapefruit cake is wonderful. Our recent experiences have been the same as previous posters - the service was still excellent! Enjoy!

Not a problem at all. One of our fav places for lunch. They don't care what you order. You could just go in for appetizers, drinks, and dessert if you wanted. It's merely the time slot that you reserved. You don't need to order an entree to dine there. Enjoy!!!
