Hollywood Brown Derby availability

Friday is my 180 so I'll be making my ADRs that morning when they open but I've been browsing around to see which reservations seem to be more difficult to obtain so I can make them a priority.

A lot of my times/restaurants shouldn't be tough because we're eating a lot of later dinners and we aren't doing CRT, BOG, or others that are typically known to be out of availability right at 180.

One place I've noticed a lack of availability is The Hollywood Brown Derby for dinner. We really want to eat there but I don't see any dinners open in late October and that seems strange to me. There are tons of lunch times available almost every day so we'll do that if we have to but we'd prefer dinner because it would make more sense with our current plans for the day we'll be at Hollywood Studios.

TLDR; We're a party of 2 and just hoping to have dinner at HBD anywhere between 4pm - 7pm on a Thursday. Is this actually going to be difficult to get (aka should I hurry to book this one first thing Friday morning before any others?) or should I book everything else online and then wait to call for this one?

Hmm - I just checked on the website and, yeah, there's nothing for weeks in September and October. That's really strange. We eat there almost every trip (party of 2 or 3) and I've never had difficulty getting a reservation, even within 180 days prior to check-in. I wonder if the reservations aren't loaded into the system yet?

What other restaurants are you booking? I typically don't need to prioritize HBD. Perhaps check, then call if you can't find it. If all else fails, I would set up a search on the Touring Plans reservation finder.

We're booking Jiko, Narcoossee's, Yachtsman as late dinners so I assume I won't need to highly prioritize those since most seem readily available at 7:00pm or later and then lunches at Sanaa, Coral Reef, and Kona Cafe. I could check HBD first since I don't think I'll be fighting anyone to get my other reservations except for any that we want at a specific time.

Interesting. I just booked HBD for a lunch in late Oct so I don't think it's a refurb. I wonder what's going on with dinners. Maybe they just haven't released pending Fantasmic packages or other? I typically don't have trouble getting a reservation there so I wouldn't stress too much. FYI- Jiko, Sanaa, and Kona are also on opentable if you haven any trouble finding availability via the Disney system.
