I made a reservation for HollyWood and Vine. The last I read here the reviews for that restaurant were pretty bad. Has it improved any or should I cancel and make a new reservation?
:snail::snail::snail:Thank You, Thank You! :snail::snail::snail:

I ate there this past September and I did not think it was bad. The good thing is that they do offer a large variety of food and the salad bar was great. They had many different types of chicken. I did not think the dessert was great...some things were good but there wasn't a large variety and the pasta was bad. But in the end I would go back

I've been there a couple of times and have enjoyed it both times, I am not a picky eater at all but if it was not good I'd say so. They have a variety of things and they are right there behind the selections replenishing them.

However, I am cancelling a lunch ADR for a solo trip this December, found that during the day it is Hollywood and Vine, Playhouse Disney Character Meal. Not into the character meals so thinking about taking a pass.

We were there on 25 Sept for Lunch (had a 2 1/2 y/o with us) and it wasn't bad. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it wasn't horricle either. They did have a nice wide variety, and the flank steak they had available was pretty good.

we ate there in September and the food was not bad at all......we enjoyed our server and they were very helpful....I love the fish and the meat entrees and especially the pasta with seafood in it.....delicious......
Remember that we all have likes and dislikes and that is good ....otherwise we would not be able to get into some of the restaurants

I had the same question about HollyWood and Vine, wil be there in Dec. Glad most of you have enjoyed your meals. :goofy:

We went to H&V (against my better judgement) only because we were able to get Fantasmic Dinner ADR's.

I was thinking of cancelling because of all the poor reviews of it on the DISboards.

When we finally did go, I thought it was one of the best meals we had. The turkey and prime rib were both cooked perfectly. Very fresh foods, lots of selections, great salads. Not your typical "buffet" fair.

Would I go back? Probably not next trip, only because there are still more places I would like to try at DHS. But definitely would go back eventually, and would honestly recommend it to others.

We go every time . The pasta with seafood is delicious-I get cravings for it. The kids (and me) love the corn spoonbread. The slamon is also yummy. Service has always been good.:goodvibes

H&V is the one place that my husband insists on having dinner at least once. We think the food is good - not gourmet level, but good - and the variety is really appealing. There's something for everyone. Service has always been friendly and attentive for us. Some of the dishes, as other posters have noted, are outstanding.

I'm glad to hear this! I also have an adr for H&V because of Fantasmic.

We ate there on our trip in March. The food wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great either. It was just a nice place to rest our feet as we ate our food. We probably will go back some time, but it is not on our top priority list, it is a good filler especially for DHS which is already so limited in their dining. If you want to try it out, definitely do so....they had a really good corn chowder when we were there (I would definitely go back just for that).

We just ate there last week and enjoyed it very much. The food and service were very good. We went for dinner.

Ditto this. And I too was there in November!

Agree with you both. We've gone twice--it is worse than cafeteria food--cold, no taste and that is when there was food -- very slow at filling bins; also the place was filthy (floors, table, bathroom) and the service was non-existent. On our very short list of 3 restaurants we won't go back to.

I agree too. It is one of only 2 restaurants we won't return to,
Bad Food, Rude service and filthy restaurant.

We just had lunch there this past Sunday the 4th...I thought the food was good and charcter interaction was good also. Server was great!

If you have children who like characters then this is a good place to take them, if it had been just my husband and me then we probally would not have liked that part of it, and I agree the salmon was very good.
I would recommend the food here...we for sure had worse food on our trip..

we still have Coral Reef and Whispering Canyon to go...

enjoy your day at Hollywood and Vine

I can honestly say this is one place we will never set foot in again, never give it a second change...from the long wait past our reservation time, the snotty hostess, the missing in action waitress and the terrible food....it was a waste of time and money

Every time I call to get into a HS TS place the only thing open last minute is always H&V....wonder why?;)
