IS this still available at HWV? Also, how is the food for dinner???? We tend to always eat at the Diner next door and we have not been to Fantasmic in years. I just hate to get to the theatre an hour before to get good seats so I thought maybe we would do a dinner package if the food is worth it??? Thanks

Will this be for your January trip? If so, you probably won't need the package since attendance will be so low. We have always done the package in October but didn't this past trip and arrived 45 minutes prior to the show and got great seats.

Regarding H&V, you will read many bad reviews but it's one of our favorites. We've always had a really tasty meal and the servers have been more than friendly.

Either way, hope you have a great time! :)

The only thing that concerns me about the Fantasmic show is that it will be closing for a week or so and when we are there .....those will be the last shows for awhile. Thanks for the advice.

Yes, they still have the package here. I have used the package for Hollywood and Vine and Mama Melrose. I didn't like the food at Hollywood and Vine. The place itself didn't seem that Disney to me.

My family does like Mama Melrose and we would go there even if they didn't offer the package.

we always do the H&V pkg and love the food......atmosphere is very tin sounding but the waiter we usually have is outstanding and fun to have around.....we like the assortment of food and desserts........

We liked the food at H&V. They offered different entrees that were not "fries, mac & cheese, etc...." Although they do have those things on the children's section. We enjoyed the variety of things offered at the buffet.

we very much enjoyed H & V. But there are not very particular about food. We love it all. Except for Raglan Road. didnt like that at all.

We have been to H&V three in the last two years. It's an OK buffet - about typical for WDW.

My family enjoyed the buffet at H&V. The food was fresh and there was lots of variety. It is a noisy place, but most Disney restaurants are. My only complaint was the nearly hour wait after our ADR time to be seated. The best thing was being able to walk into Fantasmic 1/2 hour before the show and get wonderful seats.

Honestly H&V was my favorite meal by far at Disney! They had the most amazing seafood pasta dish there. Everything was hot & fresh and everyone loved pretty much everything they grabbed. I rec. at least trying it out once, it was so yummy :thumbsup2

We all enjoyed our dinner at HWV. I didn't have great expectations based on reviews, but it was really good.

Just adding H&V was fine for our Fantasmic package. Good food, good service and nice variety. It is very nice to have seating reserved for the show.

My only complaint is that seating for the Fantasmic packages are so early, often before 5pm. Guess the good thing was Mom use snack credits to get us popcorn for the show, so I guess Disney times it just right!

We were late for our ADR(not as easy to go from MK to MGM as one would think). They still took us after a reasonable wait and we had great service inside. Its' a casual diner type atmosphere so noisy suits the theme for me. My 6yo nephew was very content with the coloring placemat leaving us pretty free to just enjoy our meal and not worry about entertaining him.

We're doing the package for the first time in years in February. Going President's Week and taking a friend of DD's who will probably never go again so we wanted to make sure we saw Fantasmic. We generally enjoy Disney buffets and do a sit down meal every day anyhow so we thought the package would be worthwhile this trip. Glad to see the good reviews of H&V!

First trip I didn't even consider H&V (kids wanted to eat at Sci Fi).
We have booked our Magical Gathering for January 1st 2009 (seems really far off, but I have a lot of planning to do). Most of our group has never been to DW, so they will for sure want to do Fantasmic!
We went to DW this past Thanksgiving and spent 1 1/2 hour in line (time we could have spent watching the Osborne Lights). I don't want them to miss anything, so we will do the package if it saves us wait times.
All that to say....Does anyone know in January do they still have 2 shows or go back to one? That would determine when we would make our reservations.
