Hollywood and Vine Fantas.Buffet..??

How is the buffet here.. we have the fantasmic package and i was hoping to get mama melrose but its booked the whole week (aug 8-15th) I could havve gotten mama melorse at 3:40 but its too early for dinner...so we settle with HV at 5.. Is it good???

We were there a few weeks ago and it wasnt a bad buffet.....plenty of choices for everyone......the food was plentiful and I loved the meat and fish choices.

It's buffet...not gourmet...but it's a "can't miss" meal for us! Since we are on the dining plan this time, I asked the kids if we should try somewhere else for Thanksgiving and I received a resounding "NO!"
There's a great variety and we've never had bad service...the only drawback that I can think of is that it's very noisy and because it's a buffet, it has a "busy" feel to it. If you are looking for quiet dining, then this is not the place for you...But if you want a great buffet with lots of good choices, give it a try!

Sorry...it is one of only two Disney restaurants we will never go back to. We've tried it twice and the second time was worse than the first time. The service was horrible, the place was filthy and the buffet is a typical Old Country Buffet...except half the time the food was lukewarm WHEN they had food...they were constantly running out and very slow to replenish.

We have been there a few times and as a family we like it. I also took it as part of the fantasmic package and after seeing the menus for Mama Melrose and Brown Derby, I knew we would be back to H & V. Like previous posters said, it is a buffet with buffet food but there is always something for everyone to eat and we have never had any problems with the service or cleanliness.

how strange.....it is a "must do" for us, we eat there every trip. Two weeks ago it was great !

is it carved meat...?? What kind of fish...?? We like very bland fish.. Cod.. Haddock.. ect.

yes it was carved meat.....prime rib and some had it rare and some had theirs cooked more.....plus they had a pork loin next to it cutting also.....the fish was salmon I believe.........I eat any fish so I dont notice the types .....they also had peel and eat shrimp......everything was good and fresh and hot...so no complaints from the 9 of us that went.......
