Hollywood and Vine Dinner?

How is the dinner at Hollywood and Vine? We have an ADR for the FDP there in December. I really would have preferred BD or MM but they were not available at a late enough time. TIA!

We ate there twice on the FDP, and weren't crazy about it the second time around. The first time, we thought the buffet was "pretty good", and since it was the cheapest of the three restaurants on the FDP, said we would come back. We came back a second time, and thought it had gone downhill. The food wasn't very good the second time, teh service was lacking, and it was just an all-around not great meal. I also don't like the interior of the restaurant- it could easily pass for a counter service cafeteria-style place. However, I know a lot of people love H &V, so it could just be our taste, or maybe a bad day the second time we visited.

H&V is not V&A's ; the food is basic American fare, but we've always found it to be fresh and good. Our family has eaten there twice (most recently on 8/6) and had good experiences both times.
