Hey everyone! I have been a long time lurker and finally thought it was time to start a planning journal.

About us:

My name is Holly and I am about to turn 25. My fiancée is Ryan and he is about to turn 26. Ry and I have known each other for a long time but we were both involved with someone else. After a while we just became closer friends and it eventually evolved into something more. Ryan is a conductor at the railroad and I work at an beer distributor. My family has grown up going to Disney every other year but until Ryan had gone with us he had never been. After meeting our crazy Disney family and traveling with us, Ryan asked dad for his permission to marry me. We already knew that it would be a Disney wedding because Disney has a special spot in each of our hearts.

The Engagement:

I knew that the engagement was coming, Ryan had me looking at rings so that he knew what I would like. We are both very relaxed people who can just watch movies and play video games. At work we were undergoing a computer transition that was stressful and so one night we were just playing video games. I never expected him to propose but he did. I asked for a handful of M&Ms and when he handed me them, the ring was included.

The Wedding:

So far we have sent in our room block consisting of Animal Kingdom Lodge, Port Orleans French Quarter, All Star Movies. We are getting married September 17th, 2013 at Sea Breeze Point. The ceremony is at 10 am with a reception to follow at the Back Stage Prop Shop. We also decided to do a dessert party at EPCOT that night.

We are slowly getting all of the details but right now that is what I know so far.:goodvibes

Up next the ring and dress!!!

Wow sounds great so far! Looking forward to reading your PJ....I'll be starting mine pretty soon as well. I love reading everyone's unique plans and inspirations...:)
Can't wait to read more!

Congrats! I look forward to hearing more about your exciting wedding! We are still deciding on whether or not to do a DFTW but if we do one, this sounds pretty much identical to what we'd want! I didn't know the Prop Shop was an option though for sure! Do you have more information on that that I could look into? Cost/capacity etc?

Thank you Sarah! We are going for the laid back wedding to be with family and friends. My parents actually went down to Disney in November and met with Joe who showed them each of the sites. He took pictures of the Back Stage Prop Shop that are amazing. They were actually setting up for a reception so you can see some of the tables and such. I have the email with the pictures on them, if you want I can send them to you. Joe did say that it is a buffet style but the decorations that you see are amazing and unique. Hope this helps!

As for the ring, I just received a new computer so I could not find the pictures for the life of me. I have found it and it wont paste so I have no clue why. Any help would be appreciated.

A couple of other details about the wedding. My colors are watermelon and silver, the three bridesmaids dresses are knee length and strapless, they are organza and flowy. My sister was the one to try it and on she said it is comfortable. I also received a call from David's Bridal yesterday, and my dress is in :) It has only been three weeks so I am completely amazed, they were so helpful there. I do have pictures of the dress but like the ring I have no clue on how to get the onto here.

I can't wait to share more details and pictures... finally.

Okay guys I have finally figured out how to post the pictures through photo bucket. Just a heads up the picture is huge and I have no idea how to resize the photos. But below is a picture of my ring :) My sister has the pictures of the dress so I will have to get those from her when she gets home.

Other updates is that we got our planner and her name is Diane, I have not had a chance to email her back but at least we have a start. I have not gotten the planning packet yet but our guests have already started booking the rooms. I am still debating on whether to do fake flowers or real.... we will use the flowers on the wedding day, the Magic Kingdom shoot, and the reception at home. I just don't know if it will be worth it to get fresh flowers for all three events.

In other news we are starting to plan for the planning session, it may end up being just myself and my parents because of his work. If any one has advise about what to bring along I would appreciate it. We would like a simple cake flavor wise and I have fallen in love with a cake that is the opposite of simple.

I am hoping to post the engagement pictures that we are taking Sunday later next week.
