WE ARE LOOKING AT THEIR MS OOSTERDAM SHIP

Hiya! I have taken Holland America cruises. They are WONDERFUL! There service, food and entertainment have always been A+++ I have been to Europe, Mexico [Via Panama Canal], and Alaska with them. I have been aboard the MS. Oosterdam, MS. Rotterdam and MS New Amsterdam. All 3 ships have been spectacular in design.

I totally reccommend this liner, you won't be sorry and their prices are great!:goodvibes Good Luck!:thumbsup2

THANK YOU! :goodvibes
I HAD HEARD THAT IT WAS ALL OLDER PEOPLE (NOT TO OFFEND ANYONE) AND THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE MUCH FOR YOUNGER COUPLES, SO ITS NICE TO HEAR GOOD THINGS FR SOMEONE IN THEIR 20'S!!!! I THINK WE ARE GONNA GO,:cool1: MAKE IT LIKE A SECOND HONEYMOON!!!

I'm working on an NCL ship right now.

I've heard the same about Holland America from a couple/few Cruise Directors I've worked with. Tends to cater to the older crowd. But, sounds like that doesn't matter! Older folks tend to like things to be nice, so perhaps that is a good thing!

Holland America definitely has a larger "older crowd" population onboard than say Carnival Cruises. This is not to say that there were no "younger people" or activities catered to all age groups. We enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time! In fact 9 times out of 10 the older people we met were more fun and polite than the younger ones! I say try it- worse case scenario you'll just want a younger crowd for your next cruise...............but if your looking for good food, service, and entertainment you won't be sorry.

OH THATS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT:cool1: , GOOD FOOD popcorn:: SERVICE, AND RELAXATION!!!!

CARNIVAL IS NOT OUR STYLE I AM NOT IMPRESSED:rolleyes1 AT ALL WITH THOSE SHIPS...

WE DON'T WANT THE PARTY SHIP SO I THINK THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT I CAN'T WAIT!!!! :woohoo:

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Oh 1 More Thing Should We Do The Assigned Dining, Or The (freestyle) Eat As U Go Dinner Times, What Do You Think????

The last cruise I took was a few years ago......I have always done the assigned dining- don't think "freestyle" was available then. Mind you there is always an open buffet- not to mention snack stands/ice cream bars on the ship that you can get food at 24 hrs a day. The assigned dining was nice- some nights you'd have casual dress and other nights would be formal. If its the same as it was when I traveled you have the same wait staff every night and so they get to know you. Have Fun!:thumbsup2
