If you had to visit at the holidays, either the days following Thanksgiving or the the week between Christmas and New Years... is there a day that would be better than others? Just one day at Disneyland. Like the 29th of Dec vs the 26th of December? I would prefer early December but that's not an option for the people I'm going with, so I am trying to determine what will be least painful option. Any suggestions?

If Thanksgiving weekend is an option that would be better than the week between Christmas and New Years. The week between Christmas and New Years is the single busiest week of the year and there are often capacity closures. Thanksgiving weekend is only extremely crowded.

We went last year the Fri-Mon after Thanksgiving. It was crowded, with Fri and Sat being the worst, but Sun and Mon were much better. The key was getting to the parks early and taking breaks in the busy afternoons, then coming back for dinner and fireworks. I have not been during that week between Xmas and NYE, but I would definitely choose the weekend after Thanksgiving to go again if the opportunity came up. Just be aware that everything is going to be more crowded this year because of the new 60th Celebration entertainment and the Star Wars Season of the Force which begins on Nov 16th.
