So what exactly is the Holiday tour? How much is it? How long is it? Is it best for newbies or people who know disney like the back of their hand and want a new experience?

Thanks,
SarahMay

I've never done it, but Tksbaskets, Aussietravellers and a few others over in the Disney at Christmas thread have done it and posted photos from the seats they had at the parade.

I know that on the tour, they take you on IASW Holiday and HMH and you get on the rides before other people waiting in line.:thumbsup2 You get actual seats for the holiday parade. The guide gives you DLR holiday-related trivia and you can sing carols as you walk along. You get a gingerbread cookie with special red holiday Mouse ears (see Tksbaskets' photo in the Disney at Christmas thread). You get hot cocoa. You get a collectible pin. There may be more than that, but after reading so many different accounts of the holiday tour, that was what I remember! I want to do it eventually.

We did it last year and it was definitely worth it. We were there the week bfore Xmas and crowds were high. They take you through the park and tell you about holiday traditions represented in the park. You listen to and sing carols along the way. We rode the two rides Sherry mentioned, then got hot cocoa in a souvenier mug and a gingerbread cookie (super yummy and I don't care for gingerbread) and got our seats for the parade. Then you get a pin at the end.

How much does something like that cost and how long a tour is it? Is it good for all ages? Wheelchair accessible? Do they do it after christmas/before new years?

thanks,
SarahMay

This is my favorite tour. The cookie and cocoa are yummy and the parade seating was fantastic. We had so much fun caroling and trying to get non tour participants to sing along.

When is the earliest you can sign up for this tour? This tour sound like a lot of fun I can not wait to go on it with the family:)

We did the Holiday Tour last November and it was definitely worth it. We were with my sister and her family, so the 8 of us had our own guide, Juliet. She was so much fun, and really good with the kids (9, 10, 11 and 12). It runs twice a day, and we chose the later tour, so that we could see the parade in the dark. Having reserved seating for the parade was worth the cost itself! It was a really nice way to take a break from waiting in lines and feel like VIP's for a little while!:thumbsup2

From Tksbaskets in the "Disney at Christmas" super thread (I love the cookie with the special Holiday tour-exclusive red Mouse ears, but it looks like they missed out on the holiday mug by doing the tour after Christmas!!):

I also re-read Aussietravellers' review of the tour in that same thread and it was a :thumbsup2. Aussietravellers said it was well worth the money, and they loved having seats for the parade, as well as the cocoa, the collectible mug, etc.
