We did the holiday tour today and vow do I feel let down.
The tour was the most boring thing I have been on. I know people are going to think I am being negative but it was just a waste of time. The only good thing was the seats for the parade. It was just a marketing ploy to advertise and get you to buy more of their products. We were told at the end of the tour you have to come back and purchase this from this shop and get this for here. At the half way point a few other guests mentioned they weren't happy with the content and lack of rides to the guide. Everyone was very careful not to blame him as he was only doing his job. A supervisor came over and allowed our group to skip the rest of the tour and head to the seating area. She told us they will not normally do this as if people did this they would all drop out of the tour now as there wasn't much in it and guides need to be employed.
It was just to boring and with the crowds my daughters anxiety flared so going to the end was the only option for us. Others asked for there money back.

Oh, dear. Sorry to hear about your disappointment. Thank goodness you were allowed to skip the remainder of the tour. Disney definitely needs to listen to the guests and how they feel about this. I hope the rest of your trip has been magical and fun.

Thanks for the heads up, I was thinking our family should do this on our trip next year, I think we will put our money towards something else :goodvibes.

If I remember correctly, another Disboarder posted a similar review of this tour saying it was dull and the only positive was the parade seating. So sounds like one to skip if you like to save time and money.

Were there rides mentioned in the advertisement blurb? If so, I would have insisted on my money back. If it just said something like behind the scene tour, did you actually go behind the scenes, I thought they were supposed to go to the warehouse where they put together the Christmas stuff? You really have to read the blurb well because they have cut back on some things in those tours. Sorry you had a bad time.

I agree, I felt jipped. A lot of money spent on what we could've just done ourselves.

We were looking at this tour for our upcoming trip but decided against it.......looks like it was a good thing we did. Thanks for posting!
