When can you start booking the Christmas Holiday Tours and I was wondering how much it costs? Does anyone have a comments about what the tour was like? We are arriving Nov 29 until Dec 2 and thought this would be a great addition to the trip.

For a minute I thought your DD was my niece! lol...

Our VP guy told me that the one he thought we should do with our 3 year old in December is $50 per person and about an hour in duration. There are some tours at $50 each that we've done in the past (pre-kids) and used to be one that was about half day for I believe $100 per person.

Which tour were you speaking of? If you have one in mind, let me know and I'll email VP.

FYI to anyone who's still looking, no plan yet for Halloween tour to come back.

The holiday tour is MAHVELOUS! That means marvelous ;) We loved it, learned some cool things about DL, but the best was the free goodies and skipping the long lineups for small world and holiday haunted mansion. I really recommend taking the tour.

I can't recall how much we paid or how soon we booked but I think it was 30 days in advance :confused3 and I THINK we paid around 120 dollars for dh and I. Which is around 60 dollars per person. But this is just guessing from memory hopefully someone can give you the exact numbers.

Neat, haven't done the Christmas tour, I'll email VP about that.

If you're booking dining through VP, you can make those reservations at the same time though - 60 days in advance. Without dining, not sure when you're allowed to book.

How about for kids 7 and 9 would they find it interesting or is it more adult kinda thing?

FYI - have an email into VP as of a couple hours ago and waiting on that info - also asked about kids.

YES! They will get front row seats at the parade and see the action up front. They will be given seats!!!! And a cool pin afterwards. They will love it.

Edit: lol, when I say given seats I mean of course that you don't have to stand behind a tall person or sit on your bums on the concrete, you guys will get special seating with no one in front of you.

Don't have the details on the Christmas tour, but here's one that sounds neat - just got this from VP.

We did this tour last year and I think it was like 59 a person but I can't honestly remember it could be less and we have annual passes so we may have gotten a discount but anyway it is really worth it. You get a guided tour and he talks about christmas traditions from around the world and you get to ride on haunted mansion holiday and small world holiday which if you take the tour definitely do it in the evening so you can see it with all the lights. You get to ride the train and you get a gigerbread man and hot cocoa in a collectible mug and a really neat holiday pin and you get preffered seating for the holiday parade. It was just awesome and we had a GREAT time. My kids are 6 and 7 and they loved it. If you have any other questions feel free to ask but to me it was very much worth it. Oh and we went on Dec 29th so right around Chrstmas and it was incredible!

Kelly, that is so cool!

So for those of you who have done the Holiday tour - do you think an active 3 year old would enjoy it? How long is it? Is it stroller friendly?

The only thing with a 3 year old is you may need to sit out with him/her while the tour rides haunted mansion. It is a stoller friendly tour from what I can recall. It was a few hours long with a nice break to enjoy a gingerbread man cookie and hot chocolate in a collectors mug. But I really think the parade at the end makes the tour worth it.

Do you have to reserve a spot in advance or can you just book it the day you are there? Does any info show up on the Disney website? When would they post info on it?

I'd recommend booking 30 days in advance if you know it's something that you really want to do - you MIGHT get lucky and be able to book it once you get there, but I wouldn't count on it.

*IF* they follow the pattern that they did for the Halloween Tour, info should go up on the web site a couple of weeks before the tour starts up for the season, but by then you'll already be inside the booking window. I would recommend calling the Disneyland Tour desk at 714-781-4400 and ask them when the tour will go "on sale" - when I called about a week ago to book the Happiest Haunts tour the guide first thought I was asking about the holiday tour, so they know something about it!

Hello, I want to take a trip up North to Napa Valley and San Francisco, but I don’t want to drive. So my best alternative is taking some kind of bus tour where transportation is provided for me. I was wondering if anyone knew of or experienced a great tour that departs in the LA area. Anyone know of a great tour guide/company? All help helpful tips will be greatly appreciated.

My concern is that IASW may be down during his holiday season as rumor is it will not come ba online ul January. We were planning on doing this (AAA discounts apply) but were hoping to do IASW with it

yeah.. if IASWH isn't open, what will they substitute with it? i'm looking into this tour for my holiday trip...
