Hello-looks like we are changing our first ever WDW trip from Summer of 2015 to Winter of 2015. I know there are some hard ticket events, but cannot find much about costs/days of the events. Best guess of our days will be December 12-21, 2015.

Mickey Very Merry Christmas Party-Is the whole park closed for event guests? Costs? Typical event days?

Candlelight Processional-Same questions above, do the dining packages add anything as far as special seating or anything?

Osborne Family lights appears to be a non-ticketed event at DHS, it is just there to for everyone to enjoy, correct?

Any other ticketed events/tours we should consider (we have done DL for the holidays several times)? TIA.

Can't wait to see you posting photos from WDW Chris!

We have been frequent December WDW visitors, so feel free to ask away any more questions you have.

We did DLR for the first time last December, so let me know if you have specific questions about the different experiences.

Since your questions have been answered..I give you my other suggestions.

Tour the resorts they are always normally magical but even more so during Christmas time. Listen to the Epcot story tellers and their holiday traditions Norway is the BEST!!!.

Also Osbourne lights are spectacular and always put me in the holiday mood. And also depending on who the guest narrator is for Candlelight the lines can get VERY long. We did the dining package for Neil Patrick Harris and got in our "advanced seating" line about an hour before and it was already at Morocco which is two countries away.

Thanks Mom2RTK,

I guess the other thing is, how early do they post the dates for each event (180 days out, perhaps, please)? I am assuming the narrators are announced closer to the actual event dates.

Thanks Mom2RTK,

I booked our Candlelight the day they announced NPH which was August 6th and the show was December 2nd so 118 days

there's this thing called google and you should learn to use it. All of your questions are easily searchable.

If everyone used Google, my post count would be about 127.

There was a thread this morning saying that some people have been able to book CP reservations. Sort of a glitch I suppose, because they aren't supposed to be available yet. There will be a day they all come open, and if I recall correctly, most narrators are in place by then, although some will still be listed as TBD.

Pop into the restaurant board. There's usually a thread full of info and chat while people wait for the info to come out. Subscribe to that and you'll know when it happens. DO expect phone lines to be crazy busy, possibly even crash, when that day comes.
