Did anyone watch it last night? (ITV1 9.00pm)

Weren't the first family ungrateful! They complained about everything! I just felt sorry for the mum (of the 2nd family) who kept trying to keep the peace and then being shouted at that she was going to get smacked in the face!

What did you think?

I watched the programme and afterwards I thought - 'What was the point of that then?'

The two families were like chalk and cheese, just to make sure they didn't get on. If they both enjoyed everything that makes very boring TV!

What about the 4 bedroom house the Father of the second family had, had built on the island???????????

we actually got to the last round of this programme, and got turned down coz we were too nice and too well traveled!!!!

There is a family somewhere going to Disney land Paris for 5 days(which would have been us!), the company RDF Media, wouldnt tell us what the other destination was, so were holding our breath to see if its somewhere exotic.

Weve all decided that perhaps it was for the best after seeing last nights programme, how awful were those londeners!!!.

Were happy in the notion, that somebody somewhere thinks our family is too nice and too normal LOL"!!!.

I was thinking about you last night Jules and also what a close shave you had. I would certainly not fancy going to Florida with another family intentionally pitted against us and a TV crew following us about waiting for a bust up. Then to go though the embaresment of watching all the 'best bits' on TV when we got home :(

To be totally honest Jules you should be proud you didn't get picked for that shambles of a programme.

The whole intent was to pick two warring factions, what's the point having two families who''l be rational and give consideration to someone else's views.............? The producers don't want that!

On one side you had a cross between Pat Butcher and Big daddy, on the other a self-centred obsessive. Both " men " were a disgrace to the species........only the kids had any sense of normality although both girls were starting to mirror their mothers.

The programme didn't even attempt to display differences and how to address them, it wanted two diametrically opposed families to wage war, and I honestly don't think it was coincidental that one family was white & working class while the other wasn't.

I'm only pleased that despite the ( many ) shortcomings of the poor man's Pauline Quirke look-alike she wasn't a racist.

I can guarantee that programme will never again be watched in our household, it made Trisha look like an intellectual debate!!
