holiday surcharges

I was just reading another thread about surcharges on all you can eat meals during holidays. I searched for it and can't find the answer to my question. When do they do this? Is it just at Christmas or is it during all peak times? We will be there next week. Do they do this during July 4th week--just July 4th???? During the Christmas time, is there a surcharge the whole two weeks around Christmas, just on Christmas day or just a few days? We will be going back then too. Have they always done this or is this something new? Never heard of it before?

Yes, unfortunately, you are under surcharge period - until mid August.

Adults are extra $4.00 and children $2.00 per meal plus tax.

That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! We will be going to 'Ohana's and Whispering Canyon this trip. They both have a fixed price so I guess they will both have the surcharge.

They don't actually call it a surcharge, though that's what it is! The displayed price just increases, those who aren't aware of the practice or who haven't checked boards like this for pricing don't even realize that the meal prices change during different times of year.
