Friend of mine is heading down to the world for New Years eve (12/30 to 1/6)
She's made a few adr's but mainly eats off site. Is there a holiday pricing at the Crystal palace and Chef Mickeys

Thanks

both are usually subject to the holiday surcharge fees. I have not seen a list of dates for holiday surcharge dates for either 2010 or 2011. However, Disney has instituted a slightly higher per day charge for the dining plan on dates that closely correspond to previous surcharge dates. They may be reflective of the dates for these years.

For 2010 12/30 and 12/31 are included as a higher charge day but 1/1/11 - 1/6/11 are listed as lower/normal charge days. The only real way to know the price is to get a quote for the particular day.

I've asked this kind of question before and the only answer I ever found is that Disney won't publish when they're instituting peak dining charges. Nice, eh? I'm guessing that it will closely line up with the peak periods on the dining plan but I also figure that they'll charge the surcharge any time the restaurants fill up just because they can. I'm normally somewhat of a Disney appologist but this one just drives me nuts. For my February trip, I've budgetted as though we'll be charged the surcharge and if we're not then I'll consider that a bonus. Two of my five ADRs will be subject to it. I believe all fixed price restaurants are subject to the surcharge with the exception of those that are prepaid I believe (CRT, SoA, HDDR & MBYBBQ).

If I had to guess, I would think that surcharges would be in effect through 1/2 since that's the Sunday after new years and there will be a mass exodus from WDW on that day, but obviously that's pure speculation on my part.

It's kind of confusing. I'll be there next week and when I asked the price per adult for our CM ADR and our H&V ADR, they asked me the specific date. CM's is on the 14th and I was quoted $30.88 per adult. H&V is on the 15th and I was quoted $26.88. So I think the holiday pricing is in effect at Chef Mickeys but NOT H&V for next week.
