Help! What is this and how much is it? I tried the search but it did not seem to be working. I saw a note about this on allears but was wondering if anyone knew the deal and how much it was going to cost me. We are headed down around Easter as it is the only time we can go. So I want to be prepared. Itis a snap decision to go. So I am way behind in the planning. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hmm? I would be interested in knowing the same thing. I have never even heard of this. The CM never said anything to me about this when I booked our trip last week. Wouldnt that be just the kind of surprise to ruin your trip.

For the week before and after easter, prices at all-you-care-to-eat locations are slightly higher. Most are +$4/adult, and +$2/child, but I think a few might be 5/3.

This also happened during Christmas 07, Thanksgiving 07, and in 2008 is scheduled to occur from Memorial Day weekend through July 5th, inclusive. I would expect future high-demand times will see something similar, as reports indicate that traffic is still strong in these restuarants during higher-priced times.

Disney never publishes actual prices, only ranges, and so the CM isn't really obligated to do so, but some have been letting folks know, and any will tell you the price for the meal you are booking if asked.

WDW is packed to the gills during major holidays and their bank deposits don't get any bigger than this.

Is it really necessary to gouge people by raising buffet prices during these peak times.

:sad2: :sad2:

PS I wouldn't call an increase of 3-5 dollars per person "slightly higher".

:scared1::eek: Never heard of this one before! We will be there for Valentines (Goofy's LTT dinner) and President's Day (I know, we're suckers, what can I say :confused3 ) Does anyone know if these are "holidays"? If so, will our DDP cover it?

Seems to me they are not obligated to tell you anything anymore. I never thought to ask the prices since I will be on the ddp. I will keep this in mind next time I book any ADR's without the plan. Thanks :)

Remember: it is Disney's job to extract as much money out of the parks and resorts as possible. It is our job to get the best value for the money we give them. This is necessarily an adversarial relationship. ;)

ninjamamma: at present, no dates in February are subject to peak pricing.

From the look of it we will be paying extra on 5 meals out of entire trip. Doesn't make me happy, but what are you going to do? DH told me don't worry about it we will be on vacation. No doubt many people look at it this way and continue to pay and Disney knows it. So as long as goofys like us continue to pay they will continue to gouge.
