Holiday Sleigh Ride

Ugg, only the 9:30 was left for my day, Dec 17. It is a short trip so only option.

Question: Terms say, "Ride accommodates 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children only." Our party will be DH & I (2 adults) and our 3 children. But the "children" are 16, 15 & 11, the oldest two pretty adult sized. I just don't think this will fly. The kids are all fine with skipping it so it's not a problem, but I would like us all to go together.

Elsewhere on the booking page it says two adults and three small children, so I think your guess that it won't work is spot on. Plus Disney typically defines children as 9 and under.

But perhaps you can call and ask.

Can someone familiar with the Campground tell me how to get to the meeting area? It says at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch Barn near the Settlement Bus Depot. I have a 9PM ride reserved. If I was to take the bus to Fort Wilderness from HS would that bus let me off near where I need to be for the Sleigh Ride?

The bus from DHS will drop off at The Outpost, and you’ll need to take the internal bus from there to The Settlement.

An alternative route would be bus from DHS to MK and then boat from MK to FW, which docks at The Settlement.

Either way, you’re taking two transportation links - two buses or a bus and a boat. I don’t think either one would be substantially faster or slower.

Thanks. That clears it up for me - one more question - if we (either way) got to the Settlement by 8:15 (the time for DE) could we see the fireworks from there before our sleigh ride?

Does anyone know how many people can fit on the carriage? We have 2 adults and 3 kids (14, 6 and 3). Our 3 year old can sit on our laps with a colugo carrier.

Found this photo but not sure if it’s just for photos. We would easily be able to sit like this, or 1 adult with the 2 small children on one side and our teen and another adult on the other side.

What is an internal cab, Minnie Van? Also, there's no road from the beach to the Tri Circle D. It's on foot.
Never done the sleigh ride but I always see the wagons staged in front of Trail's End. That's about 50 yards from the beach.
Sorry I meant internal bus (haven’t slept well searching for Fantasmic dining packages every am and midnight). And we have a corporate weekend trip (on the bus to our resort right now).

I got a reply from WDW guest services and they said our party of 5 (including a teen and 2 adults) are fine.

I got home this past Tuesday from the Fort and the Sleigh Ride was taking some training runs for the horses past my campsite. The rider section does have front- and rear-facing seats.

There wasn't PP when we were there on the 3rd. Our attendant took all the pictures that we wanted though.
