Holiday/Seasons Completed Page Swap - Prototype Thread **Due 8/27**

I'm bringing mine to SDV with me so I can get most of it done there. I am waiting on the Fall paper but that will be here when I get back. But if someone has it at SDV I will buy it there.

I have mine packed to work on there also.

I will answer IMO as a participant rather than a hostess. I don't use Disney embellishments outside of my Disney books. In my life books, I stick to generic embellishments so I would not be able to use pages that have Disney embellishments in a non-Disney theme.

I know that there are participants in this swap who DO use Disney embellishments on non-Disney pages so I think I might be in the minority.

My best recommendation as a hostess is to poll the members of the group for that set of pages to ask what they would prefer.

Sorry I couldn't be more definitive. I just don't want my personal opinion to overshadow the majority just because I am the hostess.

I don't use Disney embellishments on on Disney pages either. That's just me though.

Ok I will stick with non disney that's why I was asking.

Here are my Winter pages, well the general idea. It's still missing something around the title. And I still need to tweek some things. not a very good picture ..hmmm.. Snaps I have to do this over, I didn't do the 3x3 squares

What about the 3 X 3 squares......I didn't do them on mine.....Do I need to redo?

3x3 squares aren't a requirement. Rather, they can be used instead of one larger photo mat.

Did that answer your question?

I think it is rather plain but I like it and Raine say's its great the way it is. Should I add anything? My title is the paper piecing little boy writing on the wall with his crayon " Happy Mother's Day" I've inked the photo mats and 3x3 squares. I love the cord ribbon look with prima's on each photo mat. These are not glued down that is why they look a little crooked.

Also: I'm thinking of adding a long box for a Child's signature to go in, So when you look back at them being little you can see their handwriting

Background paper will vary from this as I am trying to use stash paper.

Without Signature box:

I love it!

I love the idea of the block for the handwriting.

I edited my post to show both versions with and without the child's signature box

Kat:

I'm not in the group..but I have saved the one w/ the child's signature box to use for myself... (gotta make my own mother's day pages) but I so love the idea!!!

Ditto! Not in the group -- but love the idea of the signature box!

Here are my last two prototypes

Summer
You can't see it in the photos but everything is machine stitched except the title. I plan on stiching the mat on to the middle of the second page and the other 4 mats with be sewn and of course glued to page

Susie:

Need instructions how did you do that amazing trick or treat title??? It was very difficult....NOT...I got it at the 40% off time at Ms - it is Jolee's. The little bag and candy came with it. I wanted to do something different with it so I made a border and made two squares - one for each side of title. I thought it looked different.

Love all your LOs!!!

Thanks

IF anyone needs a Christmas angel, let me know - please.

Thanks Susie!
I will take up the difficult task of finding that jolee!!! :)

Thanks for sharing the how to!!! :)
