So I emailed the DLR a few days ago to see if they would give me the holiday dates as I am planning a November trip. This is what I just got from them, no exact dates, but got mid nov thru first weekend in Jan.

"The Happiest Place on Earth" is magically transformed into the
"Merriest Place on Earth" for the 2012 holiday season with dazzling
decor, magical parades, and festive shows and attractions beginning mid
November through the first weekend of January, 2013
. The parks will be
trimmed with wreaths, lights, garland and other decor, and strolling
holiday performers, including the Dickens Carolers, will make musical
merriment all season long.

Extended park hours for DISNEYLAND® Park and DISNEY CALIFORNIA
ADVENTURE® Park will be in effect for much of the season, and DOWNTOWN
DISNEY® District and the Hotels of the DISNEYLAND® Resort will join in
the fun with twinkling lights and ornaments, special entertainment and
holiday dining.

Yeah I wish they could give more exact dates... It is only 6 months away after all. Most people book their trips that far in advance!

We plan to go in November for our next trip and will likely be going the week before American thanksgiving. Everything may not be up but it's e best we can do. Don't want to be there in December or thanksgiving weekend!

You have to keep in mind there is a LOT of park to decorate, and most of it is done in the middle of the night. It does not happen magically overnight, in one day.

It should all be up and going by that Friday (Nov 16)...it could be done by as early as Nov 12.

That's what I was thinking since the 16th is mid November! We arrive on the 15th. I planned it that way thinking it would either be the 12th or 16th it would start!
