We have been to the World 6 times and have always done the DDP so we never really thought about prices. We are planning a trip for Thanksgiving week 2012 and are considering not doing the DDP this time. We've decided that it may not be worth it. Both kids are now considered adults, but DD doesn't eat like one. There are occasions that she and I could actually split a meal and be satisfied. We've also decided we do not need a dessert with every meal and TS takes time away from touring. So we probably won't do a TS every day, but we do plan to do a few. Now, I'm wondering about Holiday Pricing. How much more is it? Are the prices increased every day during Thanksgiving week or just on Thanksgiving day? Should we go ahead and get the DDP? Help please. :worship:

Here are the peak dates for the dining plan in 2012. In 2011, the "holiday" pricing periods were exactly the same as the dining plan peak periods. No indication that will change this year, but since they do not announce the exact dates of the "holiday" pricing periods anymore, it's hard to be absolutely certain.

2012 Peak Periods:
February 16 – 25, 2012
March 9 – April 14, 2012
June 1 – August 4, 2012
December 21 – 31, 2012

Thanksgiving is not listed.

Also, "holiday" pricing applies only to fixed price restaurants (like buffets and family style), not every restaurant at WDW.

Thank you so much! That helps a lot. We probably won't do a buffet anyway, so we should be fine even if they have holiday pricing at Thanksgiving.
