When I made my ADR's the CM said Holiday pricing would be in effect the week we were going to be there? 11/11 to 11/18. Why would Holiday pricing be in effect? Any one else have this problem?

It is quite possible....I know Disney was toying with making most of Nov and December subject to Holiday pricing surcharges. The important thing to know is that even though it is called a "holiday" surcharge, it does not neccessarily have to encompass an actual holiday. It is tacked on to buffets during what Disney considers peak travel times ( even though the resort may be value season). If they are teliing people this already I would probably bet that it is so.The current surcharge period went from May 25,2008-July 5, 2008.

1) Yes.
2) It is Veterans Day Week.
. . . not a big holiday for WDW.
. . . not a big increase in crowds for WDW.
3) But, one good excuse for raising prices.
4) Doh!

We are there until the 13th and when I made reservations they didn't mention "Holiday pricing". Do you think it is only certain restaurants? Our ressie is at Whispering Canyon??

The "holiday pricing" is absolute nonsense, but it's at all buffet meals & all-you-can-eat meals. It was holiday pricing during all of June - and there are no holidays then (Father's day doesn't count). It's a way for Disney to rake in an extra $4/5 per person in exchange for giving nothing extra, but as long as people are foolish enough to book those meals it will continue.

I don't really care as we will be on the dining plan , but for everyone else I think it stinks. When I asked why she had no reason just assumed it was for the thanksgiving holiday:confused3 I really do think they should just raise the prices if they are going to charge holiday pricing when there is no holiday!
