Holiday Parade DVC Reservations

Hi, I have read on these boards in years past that DVC members have had special or preferred entry during the filming of the Christmas Parade. Does anyone know when the filming is taking place this year and is there still the preferred spots for DVC?

It's usually the first weekend in December. Disney has not posted any information about the tapings yet.

this isn't something i'd plan a trip around but if you're going to be there anyways and don't mind being at MK at the crack of dawn (6:00-7:00 a.m.), you may want to try it once. it is VERY crowded as AP holders get the same privilege and you mostly stand around waiting for things to happen. lots of parents pushing their kids to the front so they're on camera, etc. The dvc day is usually the day the stage shows are filmed.
it IS kind of fun, you never know who you're going to see and its neat to see how its all done. It's a loooong day if you stay for the whole thing though.
i say, try it and make sure you take your patience along!
