Holiday Overbooked! Hugs Needed.

Well I arnt a happy bunny, I got home from work yesterday to a leter from first choic saying they were changing the location of my oliday from ixia in rhodes to a little place in the middle of no where, they needed me to call about it, so I did

turns out when I got through that there was no space in the alternative hotel so they were cancelling on me (so a full refund). So we have no where to go!!! in July

Now I dont know what to do.

Have been looking at weeksin florida, and also lookin at using the money to up grade to premium economy next year.

Oh well just wanted to share the day I had yesterday, Top that Off I had a massive row with chris, so everything bites right now

Is there any chance of another holiday down at the TA's at short notice. Someone I work with has just booked 2 weeks in Mexico at short notice as she had problems getting the same time as her boyfriend off work, she is leaving in two weeks. Alternatively (due to lovely weather at the moment) have you tried camping?

oh dear, I hope you manage to sort something out, maybe you can find a great last minute deal. I think its terrible that TO do this especially when people plan and save all year round for there holidays.

Sorry to hear about your holiday, but as my Mum says things happen for a reason, even though I agree it sucks that they can do this to us when we save and plan for these holidays that someone doesn't do the right math and oops we've overbooked.

I hope this has happened for a reason in that you find and go on a better holiday (just make sure its someone who can count that books it!)

Big hug on it's way Anna. What about a couple of weekend breaks just so you don't feel too bereft of a holiday this year and put the rest to a meal at the V&A. I'm sure you and Chris would love it

Its very bad of them and they shouldnt have done that, I have just come back from Rhodes, it was nice but in same way you could be lucky.

At Rhodes airport on the return one Firest Choice plane had a wheel problem at it should have gone out early after midnight, after all passengers had checked in they said it couldnt fly until at least 5pm, and they would overnight them after collecting baggae back at Rhodes place Ixia.

My 5 hour dealy on another service didnt look so bad after that, Ixia also in my opinion isnt the best Rhodes resort, Lindos is tops, in the Sunday News of the world today, Falariki is good,, do not believe everything on the TV show.!

How can first choice just cancal your holiday like that

as someone said you are just as well off ,if that is how they treat people even before they holiday I know I would not use them again
