We stayed at the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird via priceline. It was March of 2004 and we paid $26 a night. Personally, I thought that was too much. It was really close to the parks and that was the only plus in my eyes. The hotel was just really, really run down. The carpet had large, crusty black stains that were 2-3 ft wide. The comforters had multiple burn holes. Our window was covered w/ such a film that you couldn't see out it. Lastly, the bathroom fixtures were really rusty.
It really appeared they tried to "clean" the place. Everything was just so run down that it was tired and well used looking.
Also, at check-in we arrived at 3pm and were told there was no early check-in. 4pm firm. Well at 4pm the line had over 50 people in it and it took about an hour. It was ridiculous.
I'd do a search. It seems the bad reviews outweigh the good, but you'll find some good ones. Also check tripadvisor.
