We stayed there with our 6 children. Had 2 connecting rooms, 1st floor poolside and LOVED IT! There were plenty of activities at the pool and the arcade was fun. The ice cream shop was a bit pricey, but what isn't and it was good. We changed our plans to have a pool day since our kids were having so much fun. They probably remember that as one of their best days during that trip.
If we weren't staying onsite at Universal and at Nickelodeon this time, we would definitely be staying there.
Forgot to add that when we arrived, our rooms weren't ready and when we did get our rooms, they were not connecting and were several rooms apart on an upper level. We were told they did not have any connecting rooms available and we were not willing to stay apart. While we were walking to see our rooms, we happened to walk past a couple of rooms that were in the process of being cleaned and noticed they were connecting. I had the housekeeper call the front desk to find out if there was a reason we couldn't have those rooms. Management asked me to return to the desk, which I did, and they apologized all over the place and explained that the reason those rooms had not shown up is because we had listed a preference of non smoking rooms and one of the rooms was for smoking. We walked together to the room and could not detect any odor of smoking so we took the rooms. They were right near one of the entrances to the pool and from our window we could see the area when our kids played all the time. The rooms were pretty large and very clean. They had refrigerators, which was nice and the bathrooms were spotless as well. Housekeeping did a wonderful job every day and we had a great rate. Paid less than $200 per night for both rooms together. This was the best hotel we stayed at and we vacationed for 16 days and nights staying in a total of 4 places.
Hope this helps.
