Holiday Inn Sun Spree

Anyone have and reviews of this hotel? I booked it 2 months ago for one night when we decided to add a night onto the beginning of our trip. It seemed fine when I booked it but now I can find nothing but horrible things about it. I wanted to cancel but I unknowingly booked a room that can't be canceled.

Anyone??

We have stayed at HI Sunspree numerous times. I enjoy the fact that they cater to children...they have shows at night, daytime games, etc. BUT, half of the time the pool is shut down because some parent was too irresponsible to put swimmies on their child. That ruins it for everyone.

Plus, I believe they are up to over a $100 a night now, ridiculous.

I would recommend the Disney Value Resorts any day over the Sunspree, just my opinion. We love it there, lots of entertainment for the kids. There are also other places to stay, just depends on how much time you are going to spend at the hotel...I still like my $50 a night Quality Inn, lol.

The room I booked at Sun Spree was only $54 for the night. I'm just afraid after reading the reviews. Not like I can do much about it now because I can't cancel the ressie.

we are staying here for 7 days. I paid in advance and got it for $54 a night. I say go and make up your own mind about a hotel. I will be at US/IOA most of the time anyway. But if I don't like it I will chalk it up to never pre paying for a hotel again. I read the reviews on hotel then I book through the actual hotel so if their is a problem they can do something about it at the hotel. Good luck.

Wow, rates must be off season because we've never paid less than 90 at the Sunspree.

So for 54, yeah that is a great rate...it's nice there like I said, especially the movie by the pool at night for the kids and the daytime activities by the pool. I think they also have an indoor movie at night. Kinda get my hotels confused sometimes cuz we are over there so much. You'll be happy with it, can I ask where you got that kind of rate? I guess everyone is using this Travelzoo site now, eh?

Oh, and make sure you sign up for priority club with Holiday Inn if you don't already have it...because you will get coupons off dinner there...and it's not half bad. Also, if you have kids, when you check in, they have their own check in.

we stayed there for one night last summer and had no issues with it. the room was clean and nice. We had a kid suite with a castle themed room and the girls loved it. the only issue we had was getting in the parking lot from the road. If you have to make a left into the lot go up about two turn around thingys then pull in. We were only there from - check in around 4 and checked out around 8 the next morning to get to disney. We walked a couple of blocks to cici pizza for dinner, the kids played in the pool for a while before bed, our room overlooked the pool.
