Hi all

Can anyone who's been to Holiday Inn at Disney recently confirm the following:

Are there hairdryers in the rooms or bathrooms - need to know whether to take my travel one or not, but trying to cut down on luggage as only have a small allowance on the plane.

Is there shower gel/shampoo/soap in bathroom, plenty of towels?

How many cups or mugs in room. There will be four of us so don't know whether to take some? :confused3

Has anyone ever managed to check in before 3pm? Will be getting there about 2pm, so not long to wait, but would be nice to get rid of cases and go to parks for a couple of hours before they close.:cheer2:

Are the bar snacks any good if we just wanted a light meal one night?

Any other hints/bits of advice?

Only a week to go :cool1: - can't wait but trying to make sure I don't forget anything, or take anything that I don't need to.

Thanks everyone. :flower3:

Yes there are hairdryer in every room and yes there are shower gel/shampoo/soap in every bathroom and yes there are plenty of towels.

If the hotel was not fully booked you can have luck and check in at 2pm.

Hi

On a couple evenings when we had had a large lunch we bought a couple of large baggettes from the bar, some beers and went back to the room. We thought these were pretty good pricewise although I can't remember exactly I seem to think two baggettes and two beers came to about 15 euros ish.

We split the baggettes between two and were fine for a good size snack / supper. Interestingly the very french bar man didn't know what we meant by baggettes and refered to them (after much pointiing) as 'A Parisian Sandwich' - bazarre! :confused3

As for a hint, my wife is a big tea drinker so we took Tetley teabags with us as the drink facilities in the room were not refilled through the week and she is fairly dependant on good teabags. Also is you don't like UHT skimmed milk (also like my wife) we took to buying a glass of milk from the bar and taking it up to the room as this was full fat (proper) milk.

Can't think of anything else obvious, the breakfasts where very very good and very filling if you stocked up (we did see people taking extra with them for the day ahead) enjoy yourself, really nice hotel, good location.

Thank you for your replies. I am taking Tetley teabags with me too:rotfl: I am fussy though!

Just looked at weather for next week - rain, rain , rain and more rain. Hope the forecast is wrong. When we went at Halloween last year we got absolutely soaked, and ended up freezing cold.

You should be able to check in anyway. If you're room isn't ready yet you'll be able to leave your luggage at the bagagerie.

we are just back from holiday inn - we arrived at about 11.30am and checked into our room straight away which was fab,. lovely room, comfy beds, hairdryer in the bathroom and plenty of towels and hair and body wash in the shower and next to the basin. it was all really lovely - had only stayed in santa fe before which we hated - so the holiday inn for the same price was excellent!! breakfast was good - great range of stuff, yoghurts, fruit, sliced cheeses, meats, pastries, cereals, unlimited drinks, bacon, sausage, potato cubes (which are lovely), scrambled eggs and beans.
