In need of a 1 night flop. This one OK? Also, how far to the Disney Maingate entrance? TIA for any comments.

Passed by this every day when I was there 10/4-10/11. Know nothing about the inside but the outside looked OK, just some UGLY colors (that same old teal & beige half the buildings down there are painted!). Location is tecnically at the intersection of Black Lake and Serberth Rd. If you're on 192W, you go pat the main WDW entrance for a mile or so. I believe Sherberth is the road right after Formosa Gardens???. Anyway, you turn right on Sherberth and it's right thereon your left (Black Lake runs parallel to 192). That is also the back way into WDW. If you continue north on Sherberth, you'll come to a stoplight (a mile up at the most). That is Osceola Parkway. Turning left would take you to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Going straight would take you to where the busses drop off at AK and cast parking. You can't park there; ask me how I know - LOL! Turn right to go everywhere else. If you're going to Animal kingdom, when you turn right, get in the left lane. There is a little cutback where you can take a left (there is no sign that I saw) that takes you right into the parking plaza at AK.

From the outside, it looked OK, nothing fancy. It's pretty tall, 6-8 stories, maybe??? There were a lot of cars in the lot. Oh, there's a yummy new Chic-Fila right up from it that you can access from Black Lake Rd. If you need a grocery store, take Balck Lake til it runs into 192, and take a right. There's a brand new Publix right up there at the back entrance to Orange Lake CC where we stayed.

Sorry I can't tlel you more about it.

I stayed there a few years ago with my daughter. The air conditioner leaked and the carpet began to stink. I did not get much satisfaction from the desk staff although I reported it to them numerous times. I was not too impressed with the service. It was a bit run down, but, it is a Days Inn. I would not pay anymore than 25-29.99 a night. I would also not stay for more than one night. It may be good for that first night, get there early hotel, but not the whole trip.
