Holiday Inn Maingate West

Has anyone stayed here lately? Is it clean, etc.?

I haven't stayed there "lately". However I did stay there in Nov 99. I didn't spend much time in the room, but I thought it was a nice hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff and nice decor. (of course it helped that I only paid $15/night because I was an employee of HI)
The shuttle service was just as good as any other offsite hotel.

If this is the same hotel I'm thinking of, I wasn't as impressed as the first poster.

The staff at the front desk was nice and the lobby is well decorated. My room left much to be desired though. It was small, smelled like mold and was not decorated well at all (very plain, dark). There was no fridge. The room had a safe you could pay for if needed. There were exterior hallways and no deadbolt on the doors. Not too safe IMO.

I couldn't complain about the price and the location was ok (just off 192 in Kissimmee) but I wouldn't stay there again.

We stayed there in 1995 (about $19/nt. as I recall) The room was okay, but nothing else. The lobby was nice and the staff was friendly but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again.

I stayed there August of 1999, will never even think about staying there again. I won't repeat all the problems I had there, so please do a search on this hotel and you should see my previous post.

Thanks for your input. I got a great rate on the internet but am very skeptical.
