Holiday Inn Maingate East

We have reservations at HI Maingate East for 3/23-3/28. Has anyone stayed there and whats it like. We have 4 adults and 4 children(2,4,6,and8yo) staying in the 2 bedroom suite. This was the only place we could find in our price range for 8 people. It looks nice on there site, but that can be deceiving.

We stayed there a couple of years ago. We just had a standard room. It was fine. It's your basic, no frills place to stay. It was clean and quiet, and we had breakfast in their restaurant each day which was good. The kids enjoyed the pool, however we felt the hot tub wasn't hot enough. We spend most of our time in the parks, so our time spent at the hotel wasn't much more than sleeping, showering and a quick swim. If that's what you're looking for, it should be fine.

We stayed there last year and LOVED it!!! The themed rooms are very cute and it was nice to have the breakfast included with your stay. We would definately stay there again! Also it is just down the road from the Magic Kingdom!!

Hi can you give us more details on the rooms.. was it a kidsuite ? they look kinds of small on the web. ? Was it a free breakfast or did you have to pay extra. How about the pool ? thanks for anymore info you can provide.. thanks Michelle

The room isn't the biggest but it is 3 seperate rooms. The childs room had bunk beds and a pullout, tv vcr a game table and I forget what else, our room had a king size bed and there was plenty of room for our daughters crib and the living room had a sleeper sofa, table & Chairs, tv and mini kitchen. The breakfast was a buffet style and was included! It was really easy to feed the family because there was a nice selection of items. There is more than 1 pool but we only went to the one nearest our room. It was large with a kiddie lay area and they had a place you could rent floaties and other fun stuff! We really enjoyed our stay there!

Help! I'm confused. I'm trying to decide on where to stay in March and can't seem to find out for sure if breakfast is included in the room rate at the HI Maingate East. We stayed there a number of years ago, but last year stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East and loved the fact that they included breakfast in the room rate. Their rates have gone up considerably this year though, so I'm shopping around for the best deal. It states "kids eat free", but I can't find anything about free breakfast included. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi , I think poohcrazed has the wrong hotel - the one copied says
HOLIDAY INN FAMILY SUITES not MAINGATE EAST.
so far short of calling the hotel itself , it does not appear to include Breakfast for the adults only kids under 12 at MainGate East.. Michelle

We were at HIFS (not Maingate) and really loved it. It seems that is the Holiday Inn to which poohcrazed is also referring.

disney91 - we are staying there this weekend. I will post a current report when we get back. As far as I have heard tho, it is your basic HI with kids eating free. ( don't know if it is a breakfast buffet or not tho, hope so)

Thanks guys. I too thought there was a confusion in hotels here, but I didn't want to step on any toes. When we stayed at HI Maingate East a couple of years ago, they stated that kids ate free at the hotel restaurant. They always tried to charge us and I always had to have a discussion with them about it. Hopefully, they have straightened this all out with their employees so everyone knows what's going on!
