Has anyone ever stayed at the Holiday Inn Kids Suites in Orlando while on a trip to WDW? I am wondering how this hotel works for a family if their main goal is to visit the WDW parks.
Thanks!

Are you looking at the Holiday Inn Family Suites or the Holiday Inn Maingate East ?

HIFS is a suite hotel and located very close to WDW about a mile to the entrance to WDW.

Holiday Inn Maingate East is set up a little different with a partitioned area for the children to sleep in. I am not familiar with this hotel.

We have stayed at HIFS two times and will return again. They are currently doing renovations to change the theme of the hotel from train to Nickelodeon.

Hope this helps somewhat.

If you mean Holiday Inn Family Suites, it's a great hote! The majority of the guests staying there at any one time are there to visit WDW, it's closer than some of the onsite resorts. Lots of kids and a really fun atmosphere, plus much more space than a standard onsite room. If you are planning on using their transportation, however, I don't think it compares well to Disney's. If you don't mind renting a car, I don't think you'll be sorry.
